the weird idle could be a vacuum leak, same thing was happening to my miata a few months back and it was a vacuum leak

I 100% agree with the shifter thing. Everyone swares their so great and you “gotta” do a short shifter for s550 but they suck. It makes it less comfortable when daily driving and harder to get into gears when trying to fast shift. I made the mistake with my GTO T56 and made the car just a hassle to shift. Sure it was more “solid” but stock was 100% better to be honest

I have to disagree on the S550 shifter man. The MGW in my Mach 1 is my favorite mod so far! Still easy enough for daily driving, but when shifting fast it is a DREAM. The 2nd to 3rd you basically just push forward due to gate setup and springs. It is good to know what to expect power wise from the Mach though, awesome video brother! 💪🏻

My buddies gen 2 did that weird idle thing too. Turned out to be his ported 18 mani had a runner that warped from the heat, due to the porting, and it caused a manifold leak sucking in unmetered air. His car also made 450

He was back and forth with his tuner trying to figure it out for a month and replaced sensors and all kinds of stuff. He finally pulled the manifold to check stuff out and found it.

Mach ones are just awesome. There is one that comes down my street every once in awhile. It's the light Grey like your buddies was. It melts me. Grabber Blue is still the best color for them though. I'll never have one.

I had a gen 1 yote, 2012 5.0 with E85, tune from AM, H pipe no cats and magnaflow comp exhaust upgraded clutch and flywheel 47lb injectors with dworks fuel pump . Made 435 WHP.

I’d say that Brandon making mid 450’s is accurate my friend has a 2015 GT 93 octane Lund tune, fbo (non ported manifold tho) and and he made mid 430’s whp. But love these types of videos Man! I can’t wait to dyno my car one day and see what it’ll make.

Bro the ported 18 manifold on maverick would actually go pretty hard in my own personal opinion honestly but that is just me and what I think about it I think that it would actually be pretty spicy though I am not gonna lie.

Gen 3 is DI to help with emissions standards, and nothing more. If the DI made more power you’d have beaten Brandon’s port only Gen 2, also the GT350 manifold is a manifold meant for over 8k rpm but the Coyote cams don’t go out that far so it starts to run out of steam and the power drops off.

At the minimum on E85 and longtubes the Mach should've made 480ish. 5th gear is 1:1 on the Tr-3160 trans also same as 2011-2017 MT-82. Only MT-82D4 has 4th 1:1 and it feels slow with the double OD gears.
