Cool setup. Are you going to drop that surge tank under the mat in the trunk? I was thinking of doing something similar but will try out my setup first. The setup I made is just 2 walbros in the bucket with an8 bulkhead to feed the rail then to an fpr and then using oem feed as a return.

Leaky injector is low on the list for cracking two cylinders. Excess fuel never causes pre-detonation, which is all I can think of when looking at the trashed block. Clogged is often confused for leaking. Excess pressure egress once the fuel system is depressurized looks a lot like leaking. More than likely an aggressive ethanol blend + bad quality fuel (probably) caused particulates to precipitate in cyl 4 & 6 injectors, which would affect fuel flow rate and spray pattern. He also mentioned issues with his LPFP system which could be caused again by precipitate buildup or a faulty control module. Something is probably also up with his port injection system. Regardless this was caused by too little fuel--far too little fuel, since he's running 2 step colder plugs. DME tried to compensate by pulling timing which probably just exacerbated the issue.Couple that with overboosting (intentionally) and you get catastrophic failure. I'm sure the entire thing was lean but that cyl 4 & 6 got the worst of it.

Wow this is at another level. My set up is ultra boring. E36 M3/4/5 with 110k of ultra reliable driving. Paid $8k 13 years ago and still a joy to drive. Pulls hard and I drive spiritedly without committing a felony. Ultra boring when compared to this dudes setup.
