Gave coconut oil a chance again this year as a prepoo and surprisingly it’s started working again and changes how my shampoo works on my hair. Thanks for showing consistency over always doing the “newest” thing.

LOL yasss Fay! Thank you for remembering that I upload on Sundays because KZbin plays too much with the notifications. 😪 Also, if you knew to expect the Natural Hair Regimen video in January that means you've been rocking with me for awhile 👀 lol! Thank you so much for all your support. 💗 Of course! My mission is to share my Natural hair journey with you all rather than follow the newest trends. I'm on a healthy hair journey looking to grow my hair long, so I definitely want to treat my hair well in order to see those results. I'm so glad that you re-visited the pre-poo and gave it another go. Sometimes you have to try products a few times to really feel them out. I read that Palm Kernel Oil is comparable to Coconut Oil. I definitely want to try that one out sometime this year for those who don't like Coconut Oil or cant use due to allergies.

Hey AK how have you felt about the Burnt Sugar Pomade Versus the Camille Rose Brown Butter Melt? I’m curious because I’ve bought both in the past and found the Burnt Sugar has more hold if I remember and I felt the Brown Butter Melt was greasy but I didn’t think to use it soley to twist my hair but as a sealer over my leave-in and cream styler. It coats my hair pretty well. I’m thinking of trying the Burnt Sugar again this Black Friday. Just wanted to hear your thoughts?
@AfroKhadisiac4 жыл бұрын
Hey Fay! I absolutely LOVE both of them, but they do differ in some ways. The Burnt Sugar Pomade gives my dry twist outs a lot of definition and hold. The Brown Butter Melt gives my hair less definition and less hold. I like the Brown Butter Melt because it doesn't deposit as much build up as the Burnt Sugar pomade, however. If you're looking to use either pomade to twist your hair, I would say go with the Oyin. It produces beautiful definition that lasts. I don't feel that I have to re-twist my dry hair when I use that one. You'll just have to use a really good cleansing shampoo the following wash day. I hope that helps! 😘

Hi Lovewax! That's interesting. A few months ago I heard from someone else who said they couldn't find the Shea Moisture High Porosity shampoo anywhere. I helped her find it online. It was available on Walmart.com. I also saw it on Pharmapacks.com, but it was more expensive. I re-purchased the shampoo earlier this year from Target.com. However, the formula seemed to be different in that it didn't cleanse as well as the previous bottle I had been using. I was very disappointed and have been searching for a replacement since. I am currently using the Mane Choice Ancient Egyptian Anti-Breakage shampoo. It is good, but I'm still on the hunt for something that's a tad bit more cleansing and possibly cheaper.
