I got 5 seconds in on the video and decided to stop it and give probably absolutely irrelevant input.. if it was on my property and they still demanded to park there and did not offer to pay to move it I would put a gate in front of the driveway and anytime they wanted to move ask for a small fee

Wouldnt there be a liability issue as well? If the neighbor or one of there friends slips and falls on their driveway?

Well I live next to a gentleman and he passed away because of cancer so his daughter and son got the property in their name and I mentioned to them if they plan to sell they’re gonna have to get the driveway off the property within 5 feet of the property line but I said if y’all keep it then I don’t care but now he’s being an asshole about it so I have 115 foot on the back of the property and the front of the property and his driveway is one of the tip is 1 foot over the property line but the rest of the driveway is above and beyond the 5 foot that is supposed to be. The reason the tip of the driveway or the end of the driveway is 1 foot over is because they made the driveway crooked as heck when they put it in

get a lawyer?? NO, if you have a survey, and there are no easements or conflicting surveys ... its all very clear, your property is your property... property lines are not subjective agreements between neighbors, consult your survey .. tell them to move that driveway off your property., or go rent a concrete saw and help them out (cheaper than a lawyer). This worked fine with my neighbor who knowingly built his driveway onto my property to increase his road frontage, total jackass.

Wow, thanks for your comment, I just bought a lot and am building a house o it. I made the mistake of buying it knowing the neighbors driveway crossed the corner of it, Since the lot is below grade and I'd have to haul in material to build an approach, I thought he wouldn't mind sharing it. Well I was wrong, guys an idiot, thinks I should build my own driveway.... Sorry loser, I already have one. I emailed my lawyer to see if a precedent was set since I've allowed it, didn't get a reply, guess that means no. There's no easement on my deed, so I'm building a fence in spring since this @$$hole's dog won't stay out of my yard, and the fence will go on the property line right across his driveway. I gave him every opportunity to save a big expense and he's just been a total goof about it. Glad to know this, thanks!

@@Pneumamechanical Some people have bizarre ideas about property, LOL .. when I asked my neighbor to fix it .. he came over with his wife and a box of chocolates to "sweet talk" me into letting him use my property. I was trying to install my sprinkler system and the corner head was going to be in the middle of the driveway he put in ... I wasn't going to replan my system for a friggin box of chocolates, LOL .... I then obtained his lot plan on file at the country, which depicted a different curving driveway design on his property, NOT what he actually built .. further evidence of him knowingly using my property. Consider getting your neighbors lot plan, that must have been filed prior to when he built his driveway.. it would not have been approved if it was shown on your property!

@@KrustyKlown I'm out in the regional district here and the lot I'm building on was just wildland for years, so whoever built his shack years ago just cut across the property, I doubt if there's any lot plan at all for his place, it's pretty old. No real bylaws or anything like that in the region. The owner mentioned it in the disclosure when I bought the lot, but there's no easement on the deed. I'll give him until summer when I start building a nice tall privacy fence to fix his driveway. If he'd been a good neighbor and tried to work with me, I'd just allow it, but he's a self entitled, millennial hipster idiot that thinks everyone owes him a favor. He's mad because he wanted the lot, but couldn't afford, then I bought it. Looking back, I should've just told him from the very beginning that he had to move it, but live & learn I guess

Just bout property & someone had a driveway built to access their property but it’s clearly on my property 😩
@KrustyKlown2 жыл бұрын
@@susieblanco2722 Depends how long it has been there and what the Adverse Possession laws are in your State. Crazy laws allow someone to TAKE your Land if they use it as their own for enough years .. that is why NOBODY SHOULD EVER allow a neighbor to encroach on their property, a friendly gesture can turn into a NASTY situation later on. Good Neighbors respect property lines. Definitely remove that driveway ASAP, before your neighbor decides to pursue Adverse Possession and legally take ownership of your property that he is illegally using.

@@christylovetimmy5429 I actually deal with 2 feet of the end of my driveway is a right of way (that is my right away to but it invades through 3 properties I hate it).It is used by a neighbor to be an evil scum to all property owners. So yes it’s easy for me to say given I am in that situation.

@@ByeByeBS No it’s called common courtesy and respect.nobody should want a persons driveway.Oh big deal give up a few feet so a person owns there driveway. just like the person has there own driveway.If tables were turned the other person would have a issue and be mad.Its about power and control if you want to keep a persons driveway.
