On my r6 (2008) I went bar end mirrors instead of stock. While I do like the bar end look better, it was purely for a better view behind me as with the stock mirrors it was 75% elbow.

Question. I’m about to buy an r6 that comes with a yoshi exhaust zero gravity wind screen fender eliminator kit with the front hidden blinkers also. Ably thing ima add is a quick shifter. I’m asking if a quick shifter also goes down? Like quick shift down. It’s a 2018 r6. But I can’t find the answer. But yea the one I’m buying has all mods already and I’m financing from a dealer. So there making sure it’s good bc someone traded it in

That’s nice that it has all the goodies on it! If you get the factory OEM quickshifter it’s on up. If you want the auto blip down you will have to pay a little more for an aftermarket one.

@@MADLITS1K Yeah I’ve always kept the mirrors on my bikes except for naked bikes. They look better with bar ends. It does give sport bikes a more sleek look but I’ll only remove mine for the track.

Nice ! How does your r6 compare to your ex Gsxr 1k , as far as ergonomics , is it a noticeable seating difference ?

As far as ergonomics the R6 is a little more aggressive but I feel that I have room to scoot back in the seat and tuck. The GSXR 1000 is a little better. I do think the 2017+ GXSR 1000 was built to be a better track bike than the previous generations and the seat is not as comfortable as the older models.

More refined as it has advancements over the years. (Speaking of my 2005 GSXR) looks and design is 💯 and power up top is very nice. The GSXR has more bottom to mid range and a little more comfortable seating position.

These r6s go for extremely low. They depreciate like a brick here in NY. Lol I found a good amount of 2020 models last summer on CL for 9k with under 500 miles.. others with more miles going for way less. No idea why though

Bro no offense, exhuast, tune? chain, sprockets,?quick shifter? I am your Crystal Ball! don't spend 2k in upgrades fixed the bike up for the next owner lol just to realize you need a R1. For real bro! I've seen it 7 out of 10 times! The r6 is fun as fuck yes, but it's making a lot of noise and not going anywhere fast until 10k rpms. I know...money, money. get a older R1 07-12. Does it need to be spanky new, so you can obsess over every little chip caused by road riding. Just a opinion, Ive owned many 600's and a few 1000's. and being 50 ended back stepping to a fz1 from a gsxr 1000. R1 was the best super sport I've owned that was affordable.

None taken. You don’t “need” an R1. You want an R1 so you can go faster in the straights and be recognized as worthy by everyone else. I didn’t buy the R6 to be fast straight line or I would’ve just bought a liter bike. You get what makes you happy. I actually plan to keep this bike and buy another liter bike later on down the road. Doing highway pulls is fun and all but not something I really do.
