FYI @Spanj, Ravien/Vermillion modified the power consumption of the teleporter down to like 6kw from the 20 or 30kw thats in vanilla. Fantastic change!

4 transport modules in a heavy armour does wonders for transporting stuff through the transporter network... Try it :)

For the hydrogen collectors, you have to have a space between them or they get all pissy...

Took the ventress in against a fortress and she tanks real good with an updated shield generator, but I could NOT get her cannon turrets to open up in mass. One or two would fire here and there and eventually I would have to back out to get shields back. Thinking about building a couple rail guns to replace the plasmas when I want to take out ground based POIs.

the turret layout isn't great, but at around 500 - 600m (in space) most turrets should be able to fire forwards any closer and then gun depression/elevation becomes an issue i think

Good show as always! You will like the radar complex :D BUT imo the core placement is a little too early into the POI. I had to resist a core right there, and explore and fight my way through. Theres LOTS to see.

TBH, the rocket defense towers are dime-a-dozen. Grind it down for the resources so you don't have to think about it anymore.

Spanj, can you put an autominer on a asteroid that has a resource you want. If your answer is no, I have a feeling it will be, why cant you. They should definitely add it in a mod because it seems asteroids have way more resources in them then the deposits on planets and obviously it would be a quality of life type of mod. Either way I would be trying to do all of this stuff in systems with no hostiles, it seems it would cost way less if you didnt have to worry about the raiding or clearing out bases near it and everything that goes with all of that, like upkeep the bases have to be powered and stocked with ammo and/or repaired. In a system with no zirax or other hostiles you would just drop the miners and roll out, no defense, nothing. But I'm assuming you like the location cus it's close to the gate. Oh and if by some miracle your still reading this if any of your friends have KZbin channels can you possibly give them a shout out and maybe some links in the description.

Its a bug, but if you place the generators with a little space between them, you will not get that error with no source material. When I do that, I don't get the error

Spanj, Did you forget to publish the blueprint for the defense towers defending your space station or did you decide to not publish it for some reason? I know they aren’t extremely complex builds, but with a print someone could build them ahead of time and have them ready to deploy when they need them. Thanks, love your videos & your builds (just finished getting the materials together for a Pioneer, although I haven’t been able to do any of the first upgrades you did, as building it, a Surge and a Sky Miner wiped out everything I’d collected since I started.)

Honestly, my base is awesome and also sucks... Because it is a bunker. Wich means i can even bother in make a blueprint since even if i make manage to do a blue print it wont be of any use because as soon i spawn the thing it will completely fall apart.

​@@M.R.B. The most frustrating experience was trying to get a gold asteroid from a lava sea bottom. After countless failure attempts to hover over the lava without falling, I decided to try to bring an HV to the planet. I couldn't get back to the asteroid immediately, but when I finally could, the asteroid wasn't there anymore. Someone was more lucky than me )) *That was before the Galaxy update, so resources were scarce. Oh, and hovering-falling on the top of Unknown Helices to get top loot earlier, while Abominations lurk under your SV, that was unforgettable ))

Is there a way to modify the Reforged ship and base blueprints for the standard game?

You'd have to download reforged eden, create a creative game with it as the scenario take the ship in and delete all the non-standard bits then save the blueprint out. Rip weapons, 3 block ramp, deconstructor and all CPU upgrades off you should be compliant with normal.

is there ever any reason not to build your cs like it's a planetary base? I mean by this is there any reason to make it look like a space ship? why not just make it a mobile base and every time you go to a new planet for an extended period you just land it somewhere and let it act as a base? why even build a planetary base?
