I guess those teleporters can be used to teleport between each other if you have not destroyed the core yet. Like you can teleport from the red room which has many teleporters, to the teleporter in the hidden underground tunnel, etc. However, you destroy the core too early so the teleporters stopped working.

Another epic container hidden in wall of the 2 story generator room behind a trap door. Found it by accident with a plasma cannon.
