So happy you're in a safe, beautiful space! For additional light at your full length floor mirror, you can consider an LED rechargeable surface mounted light an the ceiling or wall. Careful on a ceiling only mount - you don't want to look like a ghoul -- a side mounted wall light in addition would act as a fill. Or adjustable lights flanking the mirror (plug in or rechargeable).

Chicago Pro Tip #32: Hidden local spots are a real treat. Try the Matcha or cocktails at the "Spoke & Bird Cafe" hidden away on a South Loop outdoor patio at 18th Street and Indiana. (They also have the best BLT sandwich in the city. Great video shots of the Prairie District as well.) I would also try the hidden "Moody Tongue Brewery" taproom and restaurant (with the best rated microbrews and chocolate cake in the USA)...and the new "Nine Bar" (the only hip speakeasy in Chinatown). 👍🏼

NAHHH this kitchen and living area has to be the most gorgeous kitchen and living area in an apartment I’ve ever seen. It’s like you can see all of the city from different angles it’s sooo pretty. And I can literally imagine sitting out on the balcony during the summer and spring time such an immaculate vibe. It’s my dream to live downtown 😭🤌🏾

That apartment is a gem. I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago... Downers Grove..and I have lived in various other burbs over the years...I was in Clarendon Hills for 10 years, and moved here to Iowa in April.. It is about 4 hours from Chicago. I am so happy for you...and I wish you continued happiness ☺️

if you put a tall lamp next to the mirror in the hallway you'll get better lighting for outfit photos. it won't show up in the pictures but it'll give you the light you need. gorgeous apartment! it makes me miss living in chicago myself!

Your apartment is very pretty. Love the view. I am glad you found something great. I have bought patio furniture from Big Lots that turned out to be better quality than the ones from BJs. They get wet and mold does not grow on them. Of course do not leave wet clothing on them because then, they may get something. Of course I got them on discount at the end of summer.

Cute place! Welcome to Chicago! As far as the couch goes, I’m not sure your budget, but look into LovSac. They are fully modular and you could find something that would fit that space. We’ve had ours for 4 years and it’s survived a move and two toddlers. You can change out the covers (and they’re washable) to fit different design aesthetics too. Just a thought! Good luck! Looks awesome! Cutco knives come in white. They are definitely pricey but they are the best IMO. They have great customer service, warranty etc. I’m not a representative - they are just great.

What a beautiful place!! That's exactly what I would choose if I were on my own and had to move to a new place - good for you!! But that desk where you apply your makeup - love the lighted mirror but with all of the natural light to your right side, doesn't throw off the lighting for you?? I have to close the curtain on the one window in my bathroom b/c if the sun is up high enough, light will pour in and my lighting is off-balance! Other than that, just a perfect place!!
