My old Celica vvti which has a fully rebuilt 1ZZ with less than 6k on the engine is currently on auction at Wolves Copart if you want a fully rebuilt almost new 1ZZ 😮 Sadly it got wiped out and cat s :(

AF05 got the pokemon on the back and sluglica on the side Full exhaust Stripped interior Beatrush c pillar brace Ultra front brace Tein Endura pro all round Pilot sport 5 17’s - 215’s Hope it helps :) The 1ZZ often has oil starvation/piston ring issues- all solved on mine. Brand new pas pump. Light flywheel (1ZZ lotus) and underdrive pulley (NST) Cat s so write off :( if it was cat n I’d have kept it :(

yes you can use any of the gearboxes that came original, and mis-match gears and ratios as long as they are original spec interestingly enough the UK 6 speed is the same ratio as a JDM 5 speed just with an extra gear, and around 6kg more mass/extra drag.

@@dannyDC2 Not quite right, I happen to have an early JDM import MR-S and a facelift UK spec MR2 and the JDM 5spd has lower ratios in every matching gear. For example at 100mph in 5th the MR-S is at 5000rpm whereas a UK 6spd car in 5th is pulling 4500rpm (and 6th is 4000rpm) Can't remember the exact numbers but all the other gears in an MR-S are quite a bit lower and hence it is a bit more sprightly on UK roads. The MR-S is currently sat in storage waiting to be turned into a race spec car for my son when I get round to it.
