I love Thirdgens too. A wander/wonder bar from TDS will change the handling like you wouldn't believe. As a bonus, they came in the IROCs and prevent the subframe from cracking where the steering box mounts so it's a direct bolt-on.

I want everyone here including the channel owner to know that this car has been my no.1 dream since I first saw one way back in 1993. I live in Manchester, England and have been a fan of Trans Am's, Firebirds and Camaros for a long time. There was a huge American car showroom in Manchester called Bauer Millet, and that is where I saw the 3rd generation Camaro for the first time. Fell in love with it and have wanted one ever since. My dream car is not a Super or Hyper car, it is literally just an 1992 RS Camaro - either all in Black or White, maybe the White / Red striped Heritage Edition. I'm a very visual person, and I just love the look of this car from any angle. And the stock wheels look so good on this car. One day, I WILL own one of these. But will probably have to find and import one online as the prices people charge in the UK are just dumb

Love your Jetfire profile pic too, always was my favorite transformer lol. Thanks for commenting my friend, always loved Camaro's, Firebirds too. I can imagine they want way too much over there. If possible, if you import one, try and get one from such states here as Arizona, New Mexico, California etc., even if paint is faded it should be solid and rust free. That could maybe get you an affordable high mileage but good condition car to your door. I was actually going to put oem red rally stripes on it, and paint the black front grill white to match to make it an anniversary, did wrap the headlight buckets already!

Nice looking car Brian. I just traded my 2000 dodge ram 4x4 for a 1992 rs camaro.. Its a 5 speed standard with a 305 4 barrell that replaced the throttle body injection. The motor and trans were rebuilt. I love the styling of these cars. They are now harder to find than the 2nd gen and 4th gen camaro.

I had a 92' RS, was a v6, but it was beautiful, red, black racing stripes, t-tops and a 5-speed manual. I was always getting looks when I drove her. Then one day the clutch burned out, and this was in 2001. Decided I should get something newer. So got the clutch fixed and sold her, and ended up in a brand new 2002 Cavalier Z24, to this day I kick myself in the butt for selling that, one day when I have the money I hope to track down another, though I want a 5.0. Love this video, takes me back.

Enjoyed your thoughts, Just to throw my 2 cents in. I have a rust free 83 Z28 that has now grown into a full blown LS swap, hope to have it up and driving this spring (here in MI. that will be June) but I did a couple of things initially that really brought the car to life you touched on. I did a Corvette servo in the 700R4 worked great and cheap, I did a 97 TA 4th gen rear-end swap to get disc brakes, posi diff, and drop from 3:08 to 3:42 big improvement. Note: The 5th gen rear-ends fit perfect however are 2" wider, so you have to change wheels, I went with late 80's vette salad shooters, or you will need custom wheels, that are available. Great cars, 500 lbs. liter than 2nd gens, with modern suspension, and gorgeous! And yours looks perfect. Enjoy!

Shoot! Thats a nice car for a 92 and the mileage. Someone could definitely work with this and make it just about perfect. Seems pretty smooth. My Grandmother was in to the Chevy Monte Carlos. She had a pearl white one "SS" and around 1989 she traded it for a a Black Chevy IRock Z28. It got stolen right out of her driveway twice. So, she ended up getting rid of it for a 2 door Buick Regal in 91. I just barely remember the IRock. But, every time i see one, im like "Damn!" But, anyways I've always been a big fan of the I-Rock Z's. So, I've grown up with all these cars. They just have that wicked, slick and sexy look! General Motors did great in that time period as far as design and more. I mean, im a huge TransAm fan because its what i grew up with all the way up intill 2000 when my Dad sold his 1993 that he drove off the showroom floor back then. I was literally only 15years old then. 6 months away from getting my actual driver's license. I wanted that car so bad! He just said it was to powerful for me and my car insurance would be sky high. So, i just got to drive it here and there with my learners. I remember it having such low mileage for it to be only 7 years old in 2000 and he'd already got a brand new truck. The dodge dealership offered him $6500 for a trade in and he said no and just sold the car out right. It took about 2-3 months to sell it. And he got double the amount by selling it out right. Car dealer ships will rip u off. And sometimes if you're tied up in payments and you dont actually own the car than its sorta your only option. But, if u own it with title in your hand. I'd never trade. Because, you're just giving your money away. No, offense to anyone who owns a dealer ship and help people out thats already in the whole. But, a brand new car, that dealership is going to rip u off.

It's been a long time since I've driven them,, owned a 84 firebird 305 w 4 barrel and yrs later test drove a 92 rs camaro 305 tbi..,, the only thing I curious of is the steering radius on the 92 rs?? Do you need to steer the wheel further on a winding road compared to the older ones? For some reason I think they might have a different steering radius because I've seen other driving videos of these 92's and they look like they require a little more wheel turning, I dont remember my 84 needing to be steered as much on curvy roads like the 92's.. I dont mean 2 nitpick, I think they might've changed something. One day I'll have to find a spec on em ( steering ratios ) but I'm very interested in these 92rs camaros, my favorite car from the 90's
@Feral80sKid
@Feral80sKid 2 жыл бұрын
Not 100% sure, I can definitely say the steering has considerably less resistance than my 89 Iroc Z had, the radius seems about the same though. Good questions, and nah its ok, I really enjoy talking to you all about cars on here lol. As far as a 92 I can't recommend it enough, seats are more comfortable to me, love the 91/92 ground effects/yellow guages and lettering inside etc., and soooo many modifications/upgrades out there :)

I just bought a black 91 Camaro RS last year from Unique classics in Minnesota. Had almost 29k miles on it. Wondering what you paid for this with only 14k miles. They aren't fast by any means. Just a real nice cruiser. Great for taking the wife and kids out. I have my 88 Trans Am GTA that I bought 14 years ago from the original owner. That one is fully documented. The difference between the two is night and day. I drive like I'm 50 in my Camaro because I am 50. My trans am makes me drive like a 20 yr old ahole. I'm just curious what other guys have paid for theirs. It's not about money with these. For me it's nostalgia. The Monte SS is nice but the prices on them are insane considering they are just as slow as the RS.

Love the Crown Vics and the Grand Marquis. I liked my 02 Taurus wagon so much I advised my daughter to get one for her first car. Now there are two of them in the driveway. I've put about 9k miles on the Camaro since I got it. You're spot on about it being a daily driver. It's weird though. I drove the Camaro today then took the wagon out immediately after. The feel is completely different. The comfort in a Ford Taurus or especially the Crown Vic is like no other. Like everyone else I've thought about investing in something else but these two are my keepers. There are way too many cool cars out there for the average guy to collect. Great video. Good luck with the channel.

They must have changed the gauge clusters more than once because my first car was a 1982 Z-28 and my 2nd car was a 1988 IROC-Z convertible and both of those gauges were different from each other and your 1992 RS is different from both of them. So that’s at least three different styles of gauges on the 3rd gen Camaro.

Yessir, this design ran from 1990-1992:) Like em all but 82-89 design is my favorite, more like an airplane look to me. Pretty cool, my first Camaro was an 82 Z28 as well, loved the steering wheel and design of car inside/out.

@@Feral80sKid yeah I like your gauges to. Of the 2 designs I’ve had i liked my 88’ Camaro gauge design better then my 82’ gauge design because the 82’ only registered 85 mph and I think the 88’ design registered about 120.
