NEW FAVORITE EBIKE, ever. Not just saying that. Here's the link to it. Highly recommend this bike and company. go.ride1up.com/SH1
Today Lord Curt and I take a deep look at the Ride1Up REVV 1 eBike!! Was not ready to be impressed this much by an eBike. INSANE specs and quality for just over $2,000. In my opinion most other brands would be pricing this around $3,000 or more. Highly recommend for the price.

I have this bike and it's FANTASTIC!!!!!!! I have 2 other 52v bikes( ariel rider x class, and Kepler), and this bike kills them both, even though it's heavier. I put a 2nd battery in my storage cage to maximize top speed and range, and I suggest you do the same. This bike is begging for that extra battery amp hours. I'm 6'1" 260lbs, and I get between 35-37 mph every time I ride. As the battery goes down so does the speed, but I've never gone below 32mph. A fantastic city cruiser, and work commuter. That's what my experience has been so far. 500 miles on the odometer.

Hi there! What range did You get with a stock battery?
@gmanhad

@@MartinLV. I've never ridden it with just the stock battery. When I assembled the bike I added the second battery. I've been running 2 batteries from day one. If I had to guess, knowing how I like to ride, I would probably get 20 miles on the stock battery.

I got my Revv1 FS in late October and I concur with everything said in this great review. And you can tell just how fun this bike is without anything being said! Plus, my dealings with Ride1Up for after purchase support have been excellent. I’m the kind of person who makes purchases with an eye towards long term ownership and ease of maintenance and possible upgrading. The quality and beefiness of this frame is what initially caught my attention. It was my hope that as battery technology advances that I have made a purchase that will allow me to keep the fundamentals of this bike and upgrade or replace components to maintain it for a long time. To me, this is the first rule of responsible purchasing and sustainable living. I’m old and lived through the era of the Volkswagen Beetle and owned many of them. They taught me how to work on cars and the value of simple, strong designs. This bike strikes me as the VW of the ebike era. I hope I’m right on that score. If you’re new to ebikes like I am you might not understand pedal assist initially but fear not because it becomes very intuitive very quickly. I broke my right wrist decades ago and my range of motion is very limited. I was concerned when I heard and read that this bike would probably be mostly used with just the throttle as that rotational motion is very difficult for me. But very quickly I have learned how to use the throttle and pedals together for smooth, seamless riding. Long live Ride1UP for this product! It’s all I use for my small town errand runs now. I expect my 2012 Honda Accord to last for at least 30 more years now!

I bought a Juiced HyperScrambler 2 (HS2) over this because of its dual batteries, but this one seems like a bit better quality. Does it have means to mount and mix another battery in the middle compartment? The HS2 will go ~ 35 miles @ 30 mph on a charge of its 52 V, 38.4 Ah worth of batteries. For this one to go 20+ is pretty good.

thanx for the review. Btw, your braking distance would have been shorter if you fully employed the front brake where more than 90% of the braking force is transferred. This can be the difference between a safe stop vs serious injury or worse in an emergency event. Cheers. I almost always used the front brake with little to no rear brake when riding my motorcycle.

anything with 750w or greater in the USA is a moped, which requires license and registration. Bike lane/multi use path regs very city by city/state by state. The quality of those frame welds tell me everything I want to know about this (faux) moped. Clearly the second battery the Company sells is needed with this bike, which is really a throttle-only machine. And looks to me like the bike was specifically engineered and designed for toting a second battery. Now the only problem is the pricing. While I can buy this on an impulse if I want, the skinflint gene is in my DNA. So I have to decide, buy now or jump later. No rest for the weary.

Mount the dang battery lower, and offer a high-capacity battery, like 35Ah. Top-heavy is bad. Few people will need that storage. Why are they so shifty about specs?

In La Mesa, CA I got up to 45mph on a slight decline at level 4 (not the max power output) on a 17.5amp 48V e-battery returning home on a e-bike ride. Motorcycles have enough rear bar area to also do accessory attachments: If one has dogs an attachment point for that and for those who love adventure/camp/travel attachment points for panniers. :)

You thinking about giving this or your other E-motorcycles away? I've been watching you ever since the electric car from china video got out and have been subscribed ever since, legitimately one of the most entertaining reviewers and content creator out there. I'm from the Philippines and the commuting in my province is super problematic and going to school or any destination is really far so if you decide to do a giveaway I'm totally going for it as it'll help me a lot. I'm currently a Senior High school student and I can't really make money since part time jobs or even full time jobs here are very very different from the US especially the actual qualifications are just nuts. So as much as I would want to make money, I really don't have any way to save at all and buy practical things I need. But that's generally all, I really do wish you do a giveaway in the future and hope you get even more successful in the coming year.
