the elusive mayro upload! loved the demo but i thought the levels were kinda long, which like you said is a bit worrying when considering whether the fangame will actually be finished or not (the site says there's 7 chapters planned). i really hope this project retains its traction as it already is one of the best mario fangames out there

I've seen this project a year ago, and i remember using SMBX2 to create my own levels. It's amazing that this project is already out.

As someone who's currently working on a SMBX2 game, it's really impressive what they've done, especially the intro sequence, it's not easy at all to make 3D renders in the engine. All I'm able to do with my current experience is 3D maps such as the one in the Demo Stages.

this is how nintendo should be making their platformers: adding a bit of plot and story elements (not as much as super paper mario, but still enough to not make the game repetitive). also the inclusion of custom enemies/bosses really makes the game more worth it
