Just a heads up for those interested in this console. There's currently a seller selling a working one with 2 games for $550 OBO free shipping. It's a pretty good deal for someone interested in delving into the realm of the Marty.

I never knew that version of Splatterhouse even existed to be honest. Like you I started with the 2nd game and played the hell out of it. Plus also being a horror fan this was like being Jason and killing tons of monsters rather than random campers lol Still though that's damn impressive it looks and sounds amazing for being a console port

AlphaOmegaSin Yeah I was a big Friday the 13th fan when I was younger, so Splatterhouse 2 was like a Jason simulator to me, lol. The sound effects are by far the best thing about the game.

Hey Pete, I've got the complete ROM collection if there's any specific games you ever fancy playing on it. Just burn them to a CD, no copy protection!!! (I got one a few years ago in a job lot of consoles that the seller thought were broken from Japan, but mine was covered in mud and plumber's tape :S)
@N64allday9 жыл бұрын
unfortunately, I think Pete is such a hardcore collector that he'd rather pay hundreds of dollars for a real copy than to play a burned copy for free
@Larry9 жыл бұрын
The FMTowns is such an expensive beast to collect for, that the only real way to play games is by the ROMs sadly. The only console I've ever seen that has more expensive games to collect (even the basic, common ones) is the GX4000.
@sgamer-xc1bd9 жыл бұрын
David Lopez FM Towns is one of those systems that some games are so rare (not to mention expensive) that it will probably take years for some games to even appear on eBay, if not more. So even if you're willing to pay insane amounts of money for very mediocre games, finding some one to sell you said games can take forever.
@Liamthewaldo9 жыл бұрын
***** i read that in your voice :')
@N64allday9 жыл бұрын
90sgamer92Eng Yes, i agree with you, and most sane people would rather take larry's advice. But pete has a collecting ocd. He would rather overpay for splatterhouse than get the turbo gfx version because he thinks its the purer version. I think pete takes his collecting too far sometimes, but its his money. If he'd rather pay an extra $500 for a version of a game with a couple more pixels than thats his business

In a good way I'm glad I'm not into collecting imports because regardless of how rare or high demand some north american items are, I'm sure the obscurity of japanese only items have the tendency to be even more demanding if and when they ever hit the market. Still for people who love to collect imports they would certainly love to have this especially for a system that has some perfect arcade ports and even for some games that never had the luxury of seeing a release for any other system. The best thing I can say is play and enjoy it to your hearts extent.
@SoRa345249 жыл бұрын
Do you use a voltage transformer for these older consoles imported from Japan? I imagine they would turn on and work fine for a while since its only 20V difference but with a price tag like that I would take every precaution.

I work at a GameStop and we no longer keep DS cases and are instructed to throw them away if someone brings in a DS game to trade. I'd be happy to start setting some of them aside instead of tossing them (usually I let the customers know what will happen with the case before just tossing it to see if they want it) if you would send me a list of cases that you're looking for. I don't know how particular you are but if your goal is to just have a complete box and game (and not necessarily have that game be the one that came in that particular box), then this could be a good way to bolster your collection. Because I like your videos (also I'm pretty sure I'd be violating some company policy if I tried to make a profit off of this) I'd only ask for help in the cost of shipping. I really enjoy your profile pieces, will be using your eBay tips to work on my Ultimate Spider-Man collection, and you're the reason why I pulled the trigger on the 3DS Ghost Recon. Keep making great content!
