The Rarest & Most Valuable Games In My Collection

I talk about some of the most rare and or valuable games I own in my entire video game collection. At the end of the video I highlight what I believe to be the current 10 rarest games I own. I can't show everything, but I chose a select few I thought were worth mentioning. I have also decided to leave out games I own that are signed, maybe for a future video. This is a video reply to Josh "GamezOfWar" and his "Rare Gaming Items I Own" video.

Lucky for you! It's an absolute nightmare that these old-school classic retro video game titles, regardless of how rare and sought-after they are and what systems they are released on, are overpriced. I stick to a limit of probably $70 or less, which I really hope these old school classic retro video game titles that have hiked up in prices get their prices lowered by the price range I mentioned because I'm so not happy about them being too damn expensive to collect. There's absolutely no reason or excuse to raise their prices up. That's how much I really hope the bubble bursts about these ridiculously expensive prices plaguing the retro video game market. 😱😟

I have every playstation and Nintendo system. But you have made me start to think about broadening what I want to collect. No you shouldn't feel creepy, thats how alot of people feel while watching something. A channel that makes us feel happy and comfortable watching it. A relaxed environment that lets us rewind and recharge our batterys after a shitty day. I know life can suck ass sometimes, but we gotta look at the simple things in life. Music, movies, video games, youtube videos help keep me sane and get me through the day.

Awesome rare games, PeteDorr! Sadly, I sold 99% of the rare, boxed, complete games I owned for SNES, PS1, Dreamcast, PS2 to help fund my university education and a move to Hawaii in late 90s. It was certainly worth it, but now that I'm done with school and back in mainland USA, I want my collections back! In re-building my collections, for now, I'm only going to collect the games I loved playing, won't care if they are complete), so none of my systems will ever have complete game collections.

All those Reproduction Sega games are damn awesome.I keep kicking myself for never picking them up :\ Fuck yeah to Tail Concerto, bums me out many people have not checked that game out cause it's a lot of fun. That Mario Tennis VB box was actually not a Blockbuster only box. We had them at our old Babbage's store. I kept a few of them, but we ended up throwing out about 10 others. I wish I had kept them all!

LOL when you said Wizardry and held it up for the PS2 I almost died, I got that game for free from someone along with a sealed copy of Zelda Four Swords Sealed and a Sega CDX system with Sonic CD in it and the genesis version with older artwork I believe. I kept wizardy in case I might be interested in it. Thanks Pete!!

Great video Pete! I have finally decided to buy myself a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga and hopefully pull the trigger 2 weeks from today. I took the first step last week and bought a Sega Saturn for the sole purpose of getting that game. I cant wait to play it!

That distinction would likely go to Clay Fighter 63 1/3 Sculptors Cut. Why? This particular version was ONLY available at Blockbuster, so finding a complete boxed copy is incredibly hard to do and is very expensive because very few boxes have survived.

i never knew dark alliance II was that rare, the game shop i go to by my house used to sell that for $10 all day every day but the owner is pretty good about keeping up with prices so i wouldn't be surprised if he's updated the price

Damn, that's some really awesome games! My collection pales in comparisson, the rarest game I have in my entire collection is probably The Elder Scrolls: Arena Deluxe Edition, which I paid $450 for a few years back, i've only ever seen it on eBay 4 or 5 times this generation, so i'm definetly fortunate to have that.

only game of your entire list of your rare games i have is the 1st run preorder copy of Radiant Historia with the music cd mine is in the same condition yours is in and i'm glad i bought it, i preordered it because i was curious when i heard about it in nintendo power, most of my friends still haven't ever heard about it lol great video i'm glad i got to see your rarest games :D

I LOVE Tomba! I played the heck out of that. Still have it complete, black label. Unfortunately my parents made me write my name on it to bring it to friends' houses, so it's definitely not mint. Still, love the game and I wish the series was revived.

Believe I first a PS2 in 2001. I sold almost all of that collection to help fund studies, the move to Hawaii in 90s was with money I saved/sale of other systems and other things. Way I wrote it wasn't clear, lol.

A really good game for the PS1 that is INCREDIBLY expensive is Team Buddies. A complete copy usually goes for $100, but it is one of my favorite games.

I think the rarest or "hardest to find" game that I own is Skies of Arcadia Legends on gamecube. I searched gamestop's website and found out that no stores with 100 miles of me have it. I live near Chicago, mind you.

I agree completely about Earthbound. The prices are just ridiculous. Rarest stuff I have is Panzer Dragoon Saga, Steel Battalion (no storage box though) and a repro cart of Starfox 2 and Radical Dreamers. Got a few other stuff for N64/PS1/Dreamcast but I don't think anything that would break the 100$ mark

Oh, you're making me groan with the information about those Virtual Boy values. For I once owned that stuff. Alas, as far as having owned them, I'd never try to regain any of those. Now, several of the titles via pain free emulation is another story.

I'm surprised you didn't mention any NES Black Box games. The prices on those games been going through the roof in the last few years. In particular I would mention Donkey Kong Jr. Math, Stack-Up, and Ice Climber. I recently had an offer of $2000 for my DKJR Math. I didn't sell because I knew it would be nearly impossible to buy it again in this condition. All in all I would say, next to the Neo-Geo, the 30 "BB" NES games are probably some of the most valuable games you will find.

It's an expansion module that plugs into the top of a Sega Genesis. It has 32 bit graphics instead of 16 bit graphics.

I have a couple valuable games in mine.They are Panzer Dragoon Saga and Earthbound.I bought PDS for about $150+.Earthbound I bought back around the time it was released so I never payed a ridiculous amount for it on eBay or such.Makes me glad I never got rid of it. I lost the box and inserts for it though,but I still have the guide book for it.I also have Lunar 1&2 for PS1 CiB.I also have Alundra,Albert Odyssey and Saturn Bomberman.

That's rare. I've seen 2 on eBay as of late. In fact I think a complete copy with a non working disc sold for like 50 bucks recently. It might be more than that, can't say for sure

I was lucky enough to find a mint Tombi (PAL version) for 10€ a year or two ago. The fact that both NTSC and PAL releases of that game are hard to find is kinda interesting, because usually PAL versions are more expensive. Tales of Vesperia for instance. A sealed American copy of that goes for maybe 20-30$ or so, and a sealed PAL release is usually over 70€ ;__; Damn i want that game..

there seems to be quite a difference in price between US and UK versions,for example trinity universe can be bought for £16 pounds new, tales of vesperia for the 360 is highly sought after here

I remember buying games from kmart wallmart type stores etc for a dollar in some cases and when all the rental video shops were selling stock id buy there collections for so cheap then resell the so called rare retro games to specialy shops for a awesome profit then buy new games lunch gas cigs etc etc I learned so much from collecting comics cards as a kid and when I figured out you cant take it with you theres no point I cleaned up and made a fortune

I also own popful mail for sega cd, complete in box. I payed 20 dollars a long time ago at a toys r us that was going out of business at the time. I never knew the price for it now. anyways great video!

I have some that you refer to rare. Pretty good to know. ^_^. Got a few when market crashed in late 2000s. Snatched games like Tales of Destiny I & II, Bust A Groove I & II, Persona 2, Hoshigami, Wild Arms, Xenogears black label, etc. I just loved RPGs and Strategy games. Too bad I couldn't get Suikoden II. Oh well, wait for next crash.

Of coyrse theres gonna be alot of characters in Suikoden 2, its about building an army of everything from heros, thieves, chefs to merchants... I truly love that game so I feel obligated to defend it...

Do you have Snatcher? The Sega CD version is going for 300-350 on ebay. Their are PC-Engine, Sega Saturn, and Playstation versions as well. Its an awesome game by Kojima and it really shows off some of his inspirations for future works.

I bought Metroid Prime Trilogy at a used game store, but no sleeve :( Also from the same store I bought a PS2 and when I went to go play a game Wizardry Tale of the Forsaken Land was in there :D I obviously don't have the case for it since it was in the system but still pretty cool :)

While I'm a collector, I'm not so much that I need to have the complete game (box, game & guide book) with the games I look for. Conker's Bad Fur Day for example for the N64 is rare to find and selling out fast throughout Ebay and Amazon. The price is usually around $60-100. And that's just the game by itself. For the PS2 I'd recommend Ico, Psychonauts, DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Shadow of the Colossus & my all time favorite PS2 game of all time - Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. **continued**
