I've had my highsider for 5 years now. It is possible that I may never sell it. If you can understand the concept and what this particular boat is meant to do, there is nothing better and I don't see how it can be made to be better. It is perfection. Manual jackplate is the way to go, 100%. I am astonished that you can run that high, though, without ventilating. I bet after you take this out a few times you will be dropping it. I have a Mercury 9.9HP (carb) electric start. I get the same speeds you reported. ~20-21MPH solo/light. ~17-18MPH two people/moderate. ~14-15MPH heavy. A 36lb trolling motor is ideal, especially if you only use the TM for fishing at your spot. For travelling, you'll want more. Enjoy the boat!

Thanks, ya i really like it, made for a specific job and it does it well. its does ventilate on sharp turns so i may drop in an inch. i have had it out about a dozen times tho and its works good as is

30lb pulls so hard I'm always asking if capt shifted speeds lol. Never need more than 1st speed. Hauls grass.

@xportray Жыл бұрын
@@SlayaBoyz yeah i debated doing that but idk how the screws etc will hold up after awhile.
@SlayaBoyz Жыл бұрын
@@xportray there is 4 screws per side for the part that holds the strap. they're really strong i never had any cracking at all.
