girls, I just wanna say: it's easy for us to be scared of short hair. For centuries, society has strongly implied that long hair equates to feminity. I cut my own hair recently and it was so liberating to look at myself in the mirror with my short hair and still feel beautiful. Hoping this encourages anyone who wants to try a shorter cut, but has been hesitant!

I think it’s depends on the person’s face and body type like hair colour and even colours generally. There are persons like Jenn who can sport short hair. That is probably the case with you too. But there are people who look real bad and way to masculine with short hair

Even if she looks masculine, if a woman loves how short hair looks on her than that’s great. No one looks “too masculine” with short hair.

i just need to say i'm so happy you show us the realness of your journey with mental health and 'self improvement' (i don't know what else to call those sorts of things people do for self-improvement, but like you said about your journaling the focus should be more on self-appreciation as opposed to improvement). a lot of people act like journaling, meditation, etc. are an instant cure but i love how you've actually shown us your ups and downs with it and really shown that it's a journey and you have to find a way that's right for you and your mental health. i'm just so happy seeing you thriving and in a better place! much love!

Hey Jenn - You always embrace opportunities that push yourself outside of your comfort zone. Well done! 💖👑 It is quite liberating to release ourselves from the conventional norms (as applicable). 💇🏻‍♀️ We have learnt how to be insecure and intimidated by things that we shouldn't be. It really got me when you said ‘Maybe I’ll look a little bit more feminine that way’. I had my hair cut as short as yours just before Christmas and I felt like all my femininity had flown away. I had my hair shoulder length a million times before but having it just above the chin really made a difference!

I cut my hair lime end of october. And it was so much shorter than I used to. But my motivation was: its gonna grow so much stronger healthier ..no split ends..and now it's almost the same length I had. And hair is so much healthier and stronger

Honestly you look so good with this hair!!! I’m currently going through the same situation as my ends got burnt from chemicals and the hairdresser had to chop off 6 inches! What made it worse was she layered the hair so much so its super thin. I am sad. It will grow back I say. Best of luck!
