Now that’s a cool stand! Growing up in the 80’s with the Ultimate Support A frame stands I just didn’t get it when the X style stands came out .. reminded me of my Mom’s ironing board lol. I came here looking for a Blofeld stand .. but man I think your stand is exactally what I need for a few keyboards that have no home right now .. so thanks!

I have the same stand, all tiers and added the extra arm/surface plate. Best piece of studio gear I've ever bought. They're built like an tank.

Hey Im thinking I want to buy your exact setup, anyway you could you tell me how tall it is? And how wide it is with the extra arm and surface plate? I can’t seem to find the answer online :(
@Axl_Pose3 жыл бұрын
@@santaclausisreal5835 No problemo. The main part of the stand, from floor to base of keyboard is set at 700mm (27.5"). This isn't the lowest setting, could go around 100mm (4") lower. Their website says it can reach up to 1,020mm (40"). Both tiers together add an extra 450mm (17-18" ish) from the face of the keyboard to the highest part of the top tier. These are set at their lowest and I have both synths sloped so they sit lower at the front. As for the overall width of the stand with arm and plate, it is around 1300mm (51"). This is with the arm as close as it goes to the stand. It feels ok but I may have to modify it with a chopsaw to bring it in a bit closer to the keyboard. Hope that helps.

You can also put the 19685 on the 18817 (behind) or 18807 (hook) to put screw a VESA 75 / 100 monitor on the stand. Can be helpful for having a second screen or just duplicate of your (main) screen so you can see your DAW / virtual instrument you are playing. A great use for an old monitor. Heck, monitors are pretty cheap nowadays :)

Why don't you make one for yourself? Even with zero woodworking skills, it's not really hard to do. And a lot of building materials can be found for free in the form of disregarded furniture.
@Ast3rixMusic6 жыл бұрын
Actually that’s exactly what I did. I just hate I don’t have the skills to make metal enclosures. I created an ikea hack desk about 80’ length and 36’ width. This thing is a beast, but I wish I would have built in equipment boxes in the back instead of buying a new rack that sits on the left side of the desk. My monitor takes up a big potion of space on the rear of the desk. Finding the right balance is hard....comfort over ascetics.

4:56 I'm going to go on record and predict that this will be a Novation SL MKIII. The NI S61 has 3 selling points: the NI integration (of course), the 2 nice displays, and the key bed itself. Aside from that, though, the case is pretty plasticky and junky. (I have one, trust me.) I moved to an SL MKIII for that reason.

I have one - 3 tier as well. However Im now looking for a replacement .... Why? The middle Tier depth is not enough for a new board Im after. Max depth (with 3rd Tier attached) is 365mmm - but most boards (Montage, Kronos, Fantom) are deeper than that at 400-430mm. Shame because the stand itself is solid as a Rock.

@samprock6 жыл бұрын
Neat Accurate! looks good stand and best, you can pick and choose components. Most I looked are flimsy, and shake especially when tri-pod like. This looks sturdy, as has wide "wheel-base". Though second lever looks like moving a bit in the vid? Do you feel it can accommodate heavier equipment like Moog Subsequent 37? I like to offload it to the rack, first level taken like in your case with Axiom-Pro (maybe NI 88 in future) (now it lives on a shelf like your with turntable, so not inviting to sit and use wider for piano like playing). Same time, it's cool that second layer can be setup with a flat surface, so bunch of smaller controllers can go too. My main concern (more requirement to be most possible stable) goes to the second layer. Would you be comfortably playing your preferred flow with Maschine MK3 there, if have main table is busy for some reason?

Was thinking the same thing. You'd have to use the middle angle of the stand for both, but the cable coming from the bottom one would still get in the way of accessing the top one. I think this is a better solution for the Boutiques: kvgear.com/t/boutique-stuff
