718 are awesome. What makes people go GTS instead of S is the absence of the turbo in the GTS which makes the acceleration smoothier and the engine sounds awesomely. Great content. Cheers from Croatia.

That would be the 2021/22 GTS 4.0 which is even more expensive. The 2019 GTS is a 2.5L Turbo.

How you been enjoying it man? I have a 2.5 GTS and love it! I went GTS just because that’s what I came across with all the options I wanted (and would have added if I was building an S as it is). The car is amazing! I’ve had it for a year now and nothing but a smile on my face when I drive it :)

I see that you have driven the Alfa 4c. How would you compare the 718 s driving experience in terms of acceleration/handling?

I loved my Alfa, because of its uniqueness. It was peppy and fun to drive however lots of transmission issues, turbo lag and understeer. The 718 S is a perfectly balanced car and whole different beast!

I've always wanted an Eclipse GSX. I tried to buy one in the 1990s but got turned down by the dealer so I went and bought a used 911 a year later after saving my dollars. My 1st Porsche was a 1985 911 Coupe that was gray market car meaning it was imported directly from Germany as European speced car so it had 231hp instead of 207hp. $18500 with 60,000 miles. Had the power sport seats, an Alpine stereo. Really nice. Classic today and probably cost more than my 718 GTS now. Would I trade back? Never! I love my 718. I've also had a newer 1991 911, and a 2006 Cayman S. The 718 in any form is better than any of those older cars in my opinion. I love the turbo sounds. My 1st Porsche only reved to about 6500 rpm, and my 718 is 7400. Even my last Porsche before the 718 only got to 7200 rpm, the 06 Cayman S. It's so wicked fast that it makes all the other Porsches I've had feel slow. I love the way it looks. Never have I got so many compliments on a car, including all 3 previous Porsches, so I guess most people agree. It's really the most fun to drive out of all the Porsches I've ever driven. The combination of steering feel, suspension tuning, and overall balance makes it so much fun to drive. My last 3 have been manual and I decided on pdk for my 718. So now, I could theoretically let someone else drive, but I won't. Instead I'm going to assume that anyone who wants to drive it only knows how drive a manual transmission and that no one knows how to drive a dual clutch manual, that way I shut out my bros from trying to scoop in on my car. Fuckem, I paid for it, they can go rent one of they want. It's mine! I'll ruin my car myself, I don't need my my friends help. No one knows how to drive a PDK properly, I can't even pronounce it. If I do have a bro that can pronounce pdk correctly, I may consider letting em drive my gt essay, buy probably not, I pray to that 6 point star, and I'll be Hebrew as long as I live. That said ill never let another friend ruin my clutch and flywheel driving my dream again.

Tuning the engine voids the warranty, right? If a costly issue arises that would’ve been covered under warranty then that repair will hit you deep in the pockets and could negate any savings between the trim levels.

Nope, the tune is removable, I've already took to car to Porsche for service after installing the tune and the warranty is still covered

Nice Ride! I bought a 718 GTS Boxster 2018 2.5 liter about 2 months ago. I chose it over the S because I wanted a mechanical limited slip differential, and although it's avaliable as an option (Porsche Torque Vectoring) on both the base and the S, most don't have it. Plus I got the 18 way sport seats in leather, leather steering wheel and the original msrp when new was $101,320. Crazy what these car cost brand new. The GTS package just in itself is really worth it in my opinion, and I bought it a the bottom of the depreciation curve, so all of those option depreciated as well....too bad for the original owner. I still feel like I stole it, at least that how I drive it, just like my ither tought me. Its5like it's a fantasy or something. It's that good of a car, that I have to pinch myself sometimes just to make sure I'm not dreaming. Guess that's why it's called, "living the dream".

Love your vids thus far and am using it for inspiration for a new car ill be picking up. It's a 2018 Cayman GTS in great condition with 24,000 KMs (15,000 miles) for $82,000 CAD ($60k USD) I'm from Canada if that wasnt already obvious aha. What are you thoughts on pulling the trigger at this price despite the potential shift in market? I will be referencing your accessories video as well. Just wanted to reach out that your videos are inspiring and to keep up the content! Love the energy. Very nice video. I have a 718 Cayman S, almost exactly as yours (I think the only difference I saw was the wheels, which are the same Carrera S, but silver). I have done some mods in mine, mainly coding, spacers, etc… Will be following your mods with interest.

Depends on your needs. The Cayman is a two door sports car that its pratical for daily use. If the car is going to be your daily driver I would go for the Tesla hands down

Love all 718 models but honestly I would of gone for the GTS. The larger turbo would give you more power with all the tunes your adding. As an example you would of got an additional 22 more HP with the APR tune on a GTS over a S. More depending on octane. Also GTS seem to hold better value although both cars do well. Yea it’s more money but it has many more standard features that you probably already added in the S that cost additional. I believe the suspension is also improved on the GTS. Beautiful car though enjoy it!
