Love the series! I got my dog from a shelter when she was 5 months. She's been a lovely perfect girl, except when she turned 7 months. For about a month she was a proper adolescent! Testing boundaries, ignoring commands. She's my first dog so I had no idea that puppies have an adolescent phase! I'd love to see Inertia's teenage phase.

I watched this with my Chihuahua Dempsey who will be 1 in 3 weeks time. He obeyed everything you said and paid very special attention to the clicker. 😂 I live next to a loch with lots of wild birds including swans and ducks and other birds who are always there. I clicked treated him when he went to bark at the birds and now he watches them but is really quiet. He is still reactive with most other dogs but I guess that's a lifetime's work with Chihuahuas. We saw another Chihuahua on the other side of the park and he nearly turned himself inside out with joy and couldn't wait to play. We are so lucky to have our pooch pals. 💖 from me and Dempsey in Scotland. 🙋

I just realized my childhood dogs had no issue with fireworks because there was always lots of meat grilling at the same time. I never made the connection until now. We lived on a farm and always had huge parties where we would shoot off all kinds of stuff, and the dogs never seemed scared at all. They bounced around and shadowed anyone with a hotdog that might drop at any minute. Lol

Our new pup comes home in about a month. I have already learned a bunch of new things I hadn't thought of before. Can't wait to make my way through more. I will say that loud noise conditioning is something I was able to do with our pup about 12 years ago. I played with her during thunderstorms. Anytime she hears thunder, she goes for her ball or other toy to play fetch with whomever will toss the toy.

My 9 weeks puppy (border collie X austrian pincher) is such a dominant dog.. He is dominating everydog he meets, in a playfull maner though, even adult dogs let him be the boss. Then he guards them. The size and kind of dog doesnt matter at all. With my puppy this puppy class would have ended with every other dog grouped up in the middle and my puppy guarding them, this guarding instinct is so strong in him... its just like every dog is a sheep for him..

My husband and I have a 10-week-old puppy, who is half Border Collie, half Labrador. We doing our best to follow along with you and Inertia. (Thank you!) As such, we would like to take him to a puppy socialization class. The trouble is, we can’t seem to find anything like what we’re seeing in your videos. All we can find are group puppy training classes. However, those classes focus more on teaching pet parents how to train-the socialization piece seems almost incidental. Our local Petco has free 30 minute puppy playtime every Saturday and Sunday, but we’d like to find other options. We’ve googled quite a bit, but I feel like we’re missing a keyword or not looking at the right places because we just keep finding more of those “classes” or doggy daycare locations (which are not age appropriate and do not accept puppies at 10 weeks). We called our vet, too. They simply told us not to do any such classes until after our puppy has had all his vaccinations-and we don’t believe we should wait that long to socialize. So, alas, I figured I’d simply try asking you. Do you have any suggestions on how to find a class like the one you and Inertia attend? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all that you do!
