my new Tmaxx 3.3

I Love this video! I have an rc10gt and I was playing with it yesterday blasting up and down my street, and an extremely generous neighbor came and dropped off his old tmaxx 3.3 he said he has sitting in storage, it has ti skid plates and bumpers as well as drive shafts and turnbuckles, all rpm upgraded shock towers and control arms even au bulkheads and chassis braces, unfortunately from sitting so long odds and ends like batters and servos need replacing but I will be taking it out A.S.A.P.!!! Best bet my new buddy will be getting a fat rack of smoked ribs soon!!!

Hell yeah buddy that's awesome! I will suggest maybe pulling the engine apart and doing an Overhaul bearings wrist pin and new rod os lc3 plug as well just to be sure everything is ready to go! But definitely sounds like you got one hell of a deal enjoy man 💯🍻😎

That one with no wheels or engine is the 2006 4909 3.3 short wheel base chassis with the 4mm thick 6061 alloy chassis plate i would rebuild that one and that’s the original body from it

Both the 3.3 tmaxx are the same i believe i will look it them a little more 💯🍻😎

There arr 3 things to look for . If the transmission are the gray color and has reverse ...and it has the thicker driveshaft and it's on the short chassis then it's the model 4909 which the first model of the 3.3

The drive shaft and axels aren't originally steel? The battery box on the one I worked on had a few problems with It. I ended up using the battery holder out of a savage i put rechargeable a a in it and heat shrink them in the case. the on and off switch didn't work also so I removed it and replaced it with a rocker on and off switch and solider a 5.5 barrel connector to all the wiring to be able to charge the 6v pack with out opening the box came out nice for the parts not being original . Lol trash more like come up.💯👍✌️😁

Actually just noticed that's an original 3.3 head pretty neat. If ya hold em side by side with a new one n look down to the plug it's wayy different. Kinda wonder if it has the old type of connecting rod vs the new junk one.

Yes you are right! I noticed that as well. And sadly no it has the new rod in it so I'm assuming it was replaced at some point.

Bummer owell could get lucky on finding an old style in a 2.5 sometime. I found a couple in lots that had no play in em so swapped one to a 3.3 n its holding up pretty well so far. Think it's in my sportmaxx

@@David-069 they look the same from a glance but the old ones have slots that run through the head down where the glow plug is so more air can pass through.

Okay bug..... hopefully you can do a video about the revo diff parts that fit the T-maxx because I really didn't think they would work just by looking at them or at least confirm for sure if they fit..... but the only thing that seems to break on my T-Maxx is the output shaft in the transmission where the PIN goes through the shaft that locks the gear to the shaft

I was talking to a few other people about it and apparently you can't do it but it's a whole lot of screwing around and I'm not going to do that and waste my time in the money on something that might not work. Apparently the brushless Emaxx diffs are better and stronger

Awesome work bro I’m just purchasing a revo with the rb tm motor in it what are your thoughts about it do you think that motor would be pretty kick ass ? Or do you recommend the 3.3 traxxas motor? Have you ever tried this combo I know it was big in the day ?
