I never played or even heard of Cactus Canyon before this announcement, but from what I've seen in the videos....I'm intrigued. I absolutely love that full color DMD, particularly because they didn't use the crappy smoothed out graphics. I'm waiting on my Elvira's House of Horrors. Had a deposit down since May and I still haven't heard anything about when it will be built. I'm starting to wonder why I should even get it since Stern doesn't seem terribly concerned with fulfilling orders before building new titles.

Yeah that was the right choice. Godzilla is fun with its cool mechs + the butter smooth Elwin's flow but i find the theme somewhat too campy and dated to my taste and that doesn't ring any bell or click any switch in my brain. Sure Cactus Canyon is campy too but man... who doesn't like Far West, pistol duels and these cool musics inspired by the best western movies :=))) ? (the main theme strongly reminds me of the original wild wild west TV show with Robert Conrad, btw). Considering that you already have an Elwin pin since you switched your TMNT for a Jurassic Park (that i feel will be a keeper seems), then Cactus Canyon was the smartest move (plus the $1K savings doesn't hurt either :=)). All in all well done Cary and have fun with your new pin !

Good that your opinion is based on playing both games. I played CC at the PHOF and it was fun to shoot and beautiful to look out. As a guy with a young family like yourself CC is a much better theme. Going to see how the Lyman code pans out before pulling the trigger...

I had fun on CC! But I couldn't hit shit on Godzilla until the Cary Hardy aurora gave me a power up! It even carried over from the LE to the pro after..lol! I still think when the dust settles JPprem will be Keith's crowning achievement but can't wait to see how this one develops. If Godzilla hadn’t been announced before Cactus Canyon, I would have gone that route too. I’m just too big of a Zilla fan to pass up the theme and the fact that it’s one of the best modern games is just the icing on the cake.

One thing you didn’t mention explicitly: playfield quality. Tough choice between these 2 great titles, but that’s what pushed me over to CC. I played Valhalla this weekend and couldn’t make the boat ramp, so that ruled it out for me (love the Valhalla art, though).

Cary i think you made a great decision in the purchase of CC remake from CGC. My better 1/2 and i have played several pins in the last 6 months and have narrowed it down between RUSH from Stern (my favorite band) and of course Cactus Canyon Remake. It came down to making a short drive to play them both again.... and as much as i love the band RUSH, i think Cactus Canyon is a much better pin. We both loved playing it. We're also considering buying it through Flippin' Out. I've read great things about their unbeatable customer service.

Given your current collection, I would have gone for the Godzilla. CC is similar enough to a lot of your games, but Godzilla's closest companion would be your JP. I'd take Godzilla for the variety of it. I'm curious why you're confident TOTAN won't be the next remake. Do you have some inside info on that or is the game too difficult to obtain the rights / manufacture the mechs?

I got them both although if I could only choose 1LE , easily I would have went with Godzilla. I’m #1 on my distro list for an LE but I was told Cactus Canyon delivery isn’t to be expected until mid-late first quarter 2022. Maybe the SE model will ship earlier?

You can only hope to get a Godzilla Premium by Spring. I've been waiting on my JP Premium since July. Still no ETA after multiple delays due to "part shortage". Then Stern keeps cranking out new pins before satisfying old orders as if it's just a couple plastic dinosaurs that's holding up production. Highly frustrating.

I have take the tour of CGC and they have a great process. Their playfield standards are awesome. The cabinet quality is the best. Stern overall is good too, but since they have such high output they have a higher chance of mistakes.

Godzilla pro for me. Premium not worth the upcharge to me. I played the pro and LE. $2200 not worth the cost to me for the building, bridge, and MechaGodzilla. The flow is awesome on the pro. I preferred AIQ pro also, but JP premium is a must have over the pro to me. Congrats on your pic!

My opinion...... I think CC will get boring after about 2 weeks with the current code. I feel Godzilla would be the title that keeps you hitting that start button in the long run. But......... Lyman's code could change that once it comes out (at a price)

Wait, you think you will get a cactus cayon, SE, by the end of the year? What are you smoking? They need to build 1,250 LEs. This is Chicago waiting company, it took them 6 months to get a handful of MMR Royals out after they "Announced" them at expos only two years ago. MBRs were a yearlong affair to get them all built, after approval. Maybe it pays to be friends with Zach?

I feel like you chose this directly on the $1000 savings you were a hyped about Godzilla in your previous video, but also complained about the price. Be totally honest.... if they were priced the same or if Godzilla was the one that was $1000 less would you have stuck with the same choice? I passed on a Dr Who for $3500 probably a mistake there, and I am weighing the purchase of the Godzilla against a Iron Maiden Pro. But my Pinball Tech down the road has a Maiden and the pinball arcade both 8 min away have a Maiden. I just found out they are also getting a Godzilla Pro though.

Godzilla isn't supposes to look like a green garden lizard. They fucked up there, and it'll hurt sales. Obviously. I would CCR it before a Stern Godzilla. JJP should have did Godzilla. Would of been better.

I'm rarely a huge fan of themes, and the Godzilla theme doesn't really do much for me. That being said, Godzilla has to be one of the best shooters ever. Zilla is on .80 code. JJP can't touch Elwin. I would rather JJP design Toy Story than Godzilla. I have played the original CC at Free Gold Watch in SF and at the Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas, CC is a ton of fun. The art on Godzilla looks much better in person than in the streams.

Can't say I'm thrilled about the CC release when I was one of the guys who went out and bought one at a premium back in 2006. The CGC remakes (AFM, MM, CC) have essentially killed the core of my collection as far as their value goes. Nice to see other collectors getting a game that was unattainable for many, but it's not really fair for anyone who invested in these originals years ago. Just my opinion. Haven't bought a new game in years because of it, until a couple of months ago when I had to order a Godzilla LE

Now I own a tmnt stern game and its fucking awesome but I notice alot of channels like yours and your collection. I have questions on how you can own so many, the stern in cdn was 11k with shipping. Are you rich or make a shit load of money? how do you own so many machines what is your trick?

You can still grab some 90's games for under 3k USD. Also, when you are able to buy machines in need of service and you are able to perform the service, you can get them at greatly reduced prices. Used game prices were much more affordable a few years ago. Some games behind him can still be picked up for cheap. That World Cup behind Cary can be bought for $2000-3000 in players condition and that's in an overpriced market like California.

As cool as Godzilla is, it’s gonna be like every other Keith game where you’ll be able to play it on location or at someone’s house enough to satisfy you. Top of the line CGC games are harder to find and with topper they often rise in value.

In all fairness "top of the line" Stern LE games may sell for thousands and thousands over retail as well. There are sold listings on eBay of Godzilla LE for $15k+. Tron LE is bananas, people are asking $15k-$25k for it. The new Elvira LE is already selling for $10k over retail and it's not even built yet.
