No. Seeing your knuckles through pointe shoes are fine, unless it’s painful. If it’s painful, switch out your shoes quick!

I had the same problem with my knuckles showing through my Gaynors, so I went to a pointe shoe fitter and she said that it means Gaynors don’t work for me (I’ve switched to Bloch Triomphe now) so maybe go see a fitter because it might just mean the shoes aren’t right for you 💕

That could be one reason. But it could also be the sizing. Even if it is just half a size to big you foot will slide around the shoe, take the width of the shoe in consideration aswell. 'Sitting' n a pointe shoe(if that makes sense at all) can give that feeling aswell, so really try to feel lifted out of the pointe shoe (as my ballet teacher used to tell us)

I don't know exactly what's going on, but I doubt Gaynor is going to allow her to wear other brands while she's under contract with them. She could probably try a different shape though.

My Gaynors did the exact same thing with my toe knuckles going over, it was as if I needed a higher box because the Gaynor boxes seem too short 😕 I had to switch to Bloch European balance after

I’ve never had my knuckles show on my shoes, but my friend’s knuckles have been doing that for around two years. (Idk if that’s good or bad) But sometimes she puts second skin on her knuckles to somewhat cover it up for a performance or something. I would think it would make them more noticeable, but it actually covers it up quite well. It seems uncomfortable to me, but she says she’s fine. I don’t know if this helped with your problem, but I hope it did 😊

For your pointe shoe question: look up 'The Pointe Shop' here on KZbin, look in the description of any video, find their website and check out the tour dates. Look to see when the tour is coming to your area (she's touring the US constantly). Or go see her if you need to, it's 100% worth it! Josephine is a master pointe shoe fitter and one of the best in the world. She'll give you every bit of info you need and tell you exactly what's best for your feet 😊

im not a pointe shoe fitter but am a dancer and i think i know why your feet are kinda wonky, i believe that its the way youre putting on the shoe, like youre supposed to trace your pinky side of your foot against the edge as youre putting on the shoe. hopefully you know what i mean ;)

Can someone please give me some advice... So I’ve been dancing for three years in ballet and I feel there’s no advancement.. I take one class a week because the studio doesn’t provide any other dance classes except ones for their seniors (favoritism over them and the company team). I am confused why you had your socks on. Its summer. In the video you had socks on then you took them off and put on your point shoes, then you took off your pointe shoes and put your socks back on. I mean maybe thats not how you actually did it and you edited in the point part later. Just though it was odd. I dance and I ace my feet all the time and also practice in my room. I never wear socks for that because I could slip on the floor. And I also don't wear socks when I ice my feet, which also hurt all the time. I can relate there.
