Macca. They honestly don’t want to be a games or miniatures company IMO. They want to be an IP company with their own games/miniatures facilities. As far as former employees (like me), it depends on what period you worked there. 70s-00s are pretty good for bona fides based on work produced. 10s-20s are sporadic. I was quite fortunate being in the Studio system from 90s-00s. Lots of big hits and hard work during that period (including HH1). I do think your experienced and sensible analysis is quite necessary and useful for the other customers out here who are willing to listen. Keep it up.

@@DarkKnightCuron Most welcome. Just calling it based on my own experience. We used to have a lot of meetings regarding IP caretaking etc… Plus I was mates with their IP/Legal head during my tenure as the internet was the Wild West in those days and we were always talking.

Thanks Macca, we can always count on you to throw a healthy dose of realism at us and keep the whole thing grounded. Enjoying something does not mean you're not allowed to be critical of it. If anything, criticism shows care and concern for the things you enjoy.

i honestly don't know anymore; i want to buy Legion Imperialis to send a message to gw that says "hey! there is interest in this specialist game! keep supporting it!" i want to buy the new 40k admech sniper to say "we admech wan more minis!" i want to invest in HH, expecially after the new mechanicum things, to say "you fucked up with 10th" but, no matter my good intentions, GW will not see it, they will just see a guillable customer who will buy everything no matter the price. and i want to send the opposite message. i'm torn.. because also i wanted to buy belthanos and the cypher lords because i think they're cool, but.. they wil just see "oh cool we can increase prices and people will still buy our stuff!" GW makes it so hard to support them.. that is why I bought a 3d printer. yet, if no one buys legions imperialis, the new admech unit, and so on gw will just churn out more space marines.. idk man.. i think they cypher lords will be the **very last** mini(s) before i fully go 3d print

Yep, and Fandex Rules Writers like *'EPIC UK' & the like write **_far *Superior, Unbroken Rules_* which you can Proxy in for new Content (& just PDF the Reg books online on places like PDF☕, §cribed/Everand + .....3D print your Epic 30K models, and that _will *send* a *definite Message* to GW)

A couple of things I have running around my brain. I’m a big DA fan, been playing since 6th Ed. Do you think we will get a Luther model for the character series and maybe a Traitorish Row to signify the DA on caliban. Second, I remember you asking for pics of conversion for heresy awhile back Togo over some ideas of people around the hobby. Is that video still coming or did I miss it?

They have been on a 3 year cycle of release predicting tenth is shooting a fish in the barrels. 11th edition 2026 and next edition of AOS 2027.

I don't really think any of those were particularly groundbreaking predictions to be taking pride in. The Lion or Russ were the obvious choices for second returned Primarchs from the start, both in terms of lore and in popularity of their legions. Forge World had been living on borrowed time for years, and 10th ed wasn't exactly a shock either.

Your comment about it not being a selling point to be a "former GW" employee seems pretty silly because those former employees were quite critical of GW or their job responsibility didn't entail the things you've criticized GW for. Duncan wasn't writing rules or deciding what was going to be released.

I mean it more as having worked for them in the 90's, developers really directed the company and went on to have successful careers running other companies. Duncan is where he is due to his association with the company, and the man seems like a decent chap, and a decent painter. But compared to some of the phenomenal painters out there, if he had to do it on his own without that "former GW" background, there is no way he'd be where he is now.

Mac is saying (quite rightly) that it's _no longer a _*_Selling Point,*to havbe wroked for GW (UK)_** since many of the original Fans & Customers of GW have **_moved on_** to better & brighter pastures (majority having had enough of being of being over-charged for lower quality products, i.e. broken Rules on Day 1 of Release....then being told, "You Will **_Not Be *Missed_* ) The Company has def. lost a lot of the *_Luster & Panache_* it attain & led for several decades.....just in the past few years alone. (I think we all know why: it wasn't one single thing, that's for certain)
