my NYC apartment tour + first day in NY

I love it when people who aren’t from NY, visit NY…..although my tip….don’t just explore Manhattan, explore all 5 boroughs because each of the boroughs is unique and has something special. Then there’s upstate which is more rural countryside and then there’s Long Island which is where I live. Long Island is the place to be during the summer, in NY….we have lots of beaches, lots of parks and recreational areas, and a lot of the towns going more out east towards the North Shore and the Hamptons, have small businesses like clothing boutiques and some restaurants that aren’t chains.

As a New Yorker welcome to New York and the east coast! A tip I have is to visit all the Burroughs as someone said earlier… also take advantage of a nice walk especially toward the evening when it’s windy out .. I try avoid using a car ( obviously parking sucks) and take advantage of the transportation like the ferry is a cute way to travel ( their is some weird people so be careful) but I love New York hopefully I could meet you! 🥰

There are always downsides of every place. Usually it's like that, everyone wants something they don't have and romanticize new places. But you have a great opportunity to try to live anywhere you want ❤️ I lived in NYC for a while and it'd be fine being a tourist but as for living, it was too overwhelming for me.
