In case anyone is wondering, I believe this guy is still doing his thing taking care of tortoises. For some reason he seems to only be posting on Facebook which is kinda weird but he posts updates there quite frequently. The most recent post about Big Ike that I saw was about five days ago as I’m writing this comment but I’m not 100% sure if the video was a recent recording or not. I find it strange that he silently abandoned his audiences on the more popular platforms to solely post on Facebook and never gave any reasoning for that.

I don't have facebook so I really appreciate this update. I followed him for a long time and used to chat on instagram DMs from time to time about our tortoises but he suddenly vanished. I'm glad to finally hear him and Ike are doing okay 💚

Stay Strong Ike! I hate shots too, and in the armpit must be ghastly! I noticed Ike got close to high speed escape- for him- to avoid the shot at the vet office. Poor dude. No guy's do well with medical care, even tortoises!

Those injections - I'd be worried they would create a sore area in the muscle after so many day after day. But It's wonderful his ear is healing up. If you can comfortably do the other arm, you should switch occasionally to let the other side time to heal. It might get iritated if continiously injecting to the same muscle everyday for two weeks. I do my own injections and was told to switch every injection if i can, i still favor one side cause its easier to reach with dominant hand, but every few ill switch to give it time to heal better.
