Honestly bloody loved this video! Your points came across so well, and it is clear how frustrating it is to you. I think it's totally shocking that youtubers now effectively exploit their audience and their fan-base for money, but no-one discusses it. as a past oli white fan, i can say you 100% are teling the truth here. the harsh truth. but the right truth. same with emma and dodie. they genuinly try. i've seen them both live and dodie chatted and made us feel welcome, accepted and not alone, and when emma preformed a girl next to me passed out and emma made sure she was okay before anything else happened. theyre both amazing. and deserve so much more attention from youtube then they are getting. theyre original. not a photocopy of hundreda of others of 'creators' who just recycle each others videos

being a graphic designer that works her socks off coming up with innovative and creative designs to then look at those t-shirts with the word 'oli' written on actually makes my blood boil that he can make money from that rubbish. As you said, there is no thought, effort or time being put into that and is taking full advantage of people to buy his dire 'designs.' It's actually ludicrous. Me and my mate went to SitC and I was booked in for a Daz Black and Dodie meet and greet and I also met other KZbinrs along the way (including you) and everyone one I met seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say. I witnessed Daz do back to back panels and still was incredibly friendly during the meet and greet. Sammy Paul was willing to spend five minutes talking about films with us. You had a proper conversation with us which made us feel really welcome. And finally where can I start on Dodie. Every time I walked past her merch stand she was there. How she has the energy to spend 12 hours meeting people is beyond me. Such a lovely person as well, willing to have a genuine talk with us about her music and our stories of discovering her music. So to hear this about Oli White really annoys me. Can't he have some decency to repay the debt he owes to his fan base.

When Dodie and Bry stayed with me last time they were here in Australia, I sat back and watched them after their show and they literally stayed around to say hello to every single person that was there. Dodie is one of the sweetest people on the planet (as is Bry) and I think her merch is just so her! I just stumbled across your channel, and I just have to say, I really love your videos. They're real, they're honest, and you're incredibly self aware. I love that you encourage people to disagree, to start a discussion, etc. I think these days so many fans of KZbinrs just immediately shut down the opinions of people who comment negatively, or critically, instead of respecting people's right to free speech, and to an opinion. Lots of KZbinrs these days can't seem to tell the difference between constructive criticism/viewers just giving their opinion and disrespectful 'hate' for the sake of hating. The community you're creating in your comment section and among your viewers is great, because it really promotes a safe environment for people to say what they think, whether you agree or not.

I can vouch for everything you say because when you met me and my mate you gave us so much time to talk to you and you seemed genuinely interested in us. Some other youtubers act like they're on a timer where they'll explode if they keep talking to us for an extra minute. We are the people that got them to the position they're in, I'm glad you understand that because it's clear that you respect your subscribers where some other youtubers think they're all that.

I've been binge watching your videos for the past few days now, and since I just subscribed to you a few days ago because of your Zoella Christmas advent calendar unboxing video, I just....love you man, keep it up 😢 I love your concern and your love for your viewers and hearing that from you in the very end of the idea actually made me tear up a bit in happiness. At this point, I'm so glad Connor Franta decided to branch out and focus more on his charities. His campaigns and work with GLSEN is a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of these people. I agree with what you said about Emma Blackery and Dodie too.
