They just released a 90 dollar mount and retail players are buying if like there is no tomorrow. Easy to see why their focus is on retail. I'm only playing Era atm, hoping for actual classic+ and not sod garbage

The mount is op and is purchasable with gold, which is very easy to acquire for someone who plays wow every day.....I'm all against p2w, I'm all against player power for $, but honestly when it comes to Blizzard, everything on the bnet store, from mounts in WoW to D4 and its expansion are essentially purchasable with in game gold, since 1 token = 13€

How is "focus" relevant here? Are you just braindead or what? This is about them completely missing the mark. People wanted miniscule adjustments in classic+ so that several classes/specs actually became viable. They went overboard. Has nothing to do with focus, or mount in retail. It has to do with competency. Get it right, instead of writing something so absolutely stupid.

i agree with you. Especially as you once said: fyling mounts was the begin of the end of the real classic. I played from 2005 to 2006, 16 hours a day. Then came BC and the first thing i recognized was, that more and more player got greedy and just do their own stuff. Before BC we all hang around together and doing many different funny things in the open world, but then, with BC, the ppl were still on the server, but i felt alone on the ground. The flying mounts killed the old community.

i think he is right, blizzard intended sod to be their classic+ and it failed and now they are letting it go as an experiment for the "real classic+" that they confirmed they are making (they did confirm it in one of the sod interviews)

I think they listen to much to the community, and they want to make it equal across the board. So the community wants paladin tanks, then they have to make something to everyone else to make it equal and it spirals out of control. The low lvl stuff was kind of a cool thought as well but it made it very bad down the line

You’re not wrong kungen, one of the devs majorly hinted in an interview that SOD is the beta test for classic+. So it has been mentioned. Do I think you are wrong? No but for sure a little doom mentality attached. However with good reason, people forget that blizzard left us classic players in the dark for over a decade. Obviously you didn’t. 😅

Ya'll should try turtle wow. it's a private server so obviously its not for everyone and their custom content isn't perfect, but it IS made in the vanilla spirit and with vanilla design philosophy. better classic+ than blizzard would ever make, cus its not profitable. turtle also has a huge hardcore community, the majority of people you see leveling are hc. custom content spices up the journey

There might be something similar to sod in the future. But nothing too impressive, they are never going to spend a meaningful amount of money into classic.

Blizzard cannot be trusted with modifying the original content. Just give us fresh vanilla servers. That's it.

SoD is a beta. Similar to how SoM was also a beta to test what people like and dislike. Yes they went overboard with certain additions to the game. Classic+ will be developed and released in 2025/2026. That's my guess

Can't see how anyone can really shit on SoD as a decent classic + how does anyone want new vanilla / classic type content aka new dungeons and raids with classics shit pacing and shit class design and tuning.
