Nice recovery. IMHO, the Patek and the Daytona are for the ego, not for the day to day enjoyment. The JLC piece is awesome; will take that over the Patek in a heartbeat. The Rolex Explorer II in and of itself can be a one piece collection. Looks great with a pair of jeans and you can wear it under a shirt cuff with a suit. Think about it, when you had your big trip the explorer II is the first watch you put on your wrist to travel. You can swim with it. You can take it to the symphony, and take it out for dinner!

Congrats on rebuilding your collection. You can never go wrong with a Bluesy and a Reverso! Now you need a tough beater, made in Japan. My vote: a G-Shock Solar Screwback Square. My vote: GW-50001JF. Just be careful as it has become a rabbit hole for a lot of people.

I agree that 4 watches are enough. To me, 2 watches are also enough, which are Davosa carbon fiber diver and Tudor pelagos FXD. Infact, They are daily office watches. I think for most people 2 watches are enough. However, watches are for entertainment and make watch collectors happy, so it would be better to have more than 2 or 4 watches. I have additional 15 watches in a watch box to rotate through every 2 weeks. These rotating watches are not for office wearing but for after office usage. All of these artworks as watches have entertained and refreshed me. So 4 watches are not enough.
