Hi Jessica! It’s a perfect day 💖 I don’t love winter, but the winters in Detroit are far, far more mild that what I grew up with in Minneapolis. They’re shorter and not as cold. I’ve been able to make peace with them and plan a few warm weather breaks. I’d love perfect weather all the time, but I found balance here. 💖💖💖

Yes! I remember that you are from Chicago. That’s right. So, I still think Detroit’s winters are more mild because of the effect of being surrounded by Great Lakes. It has a warmer, humid micro climate. It’s gray gray gray all winter but rarely super cold.

Hi Beth! You're cool! My brother, who passed away a few years ago, would always talk about our "dashes." The time between the year you are born and the year you pass away. Throughout every day I ask myself: "How's your dash going today?" This helps me center and focus into, like you, my interactions with others as well as myself! I’m so glad what I had to say resonated with you. So many of us go through similar challenges, and it’s not always polite to discuss them. I’m so happy you found happiness the second time around. It’s easy to remember the uncertainty and confusion surrounding the end of my first marriage. But we grow, don’t we? 🌻 I have to tell you I fell down the NDE rabbit hole about a year ago. It’s remarkable to hear people’s accounts. Related side note: have you seen the Disney/Pixar movie Soul? I feel like it’s all very close to the truth.

Hi! I was very blonde when I met him, but he was super supportive of my transition. He saw up close what a burden it was to keep dyeing. He also has silver hair, so he was inclined to like it. 💖
