I just thinks its sad that all of act 2 Jason was trying to say he didn't want a bar mitzvah and he finally snaps in everyone hates his parents because no one was listening to him. this is why I believe in another miracle of Judaism he asks if gods just a big psychiatrist because he's tried to tell Mendel about the fact he doesn't want a bar mitzvah and he didn't listen and Jasons scared god won't listen to his prayers.
