believe she brings tears to all our eyes. You are so so so fortunate to have had your mother in your life for so many years. Mine left when 27 (a very young 27), fortunately the "core love" was seated.
@Denise11Schultz2 ай бұрын
@@10Bee100 I understand that early loss. My mother died at a similar age. I noticed two things. There is s kind of subconscious scanning of the human landscape, to make friends with women of a similar age. I just need those older women in my life, and I got to do for them what I wanted to do for my mother. And all my milestones, the things I ‘would have written home about’, I shared with them. So as much as I miss my mother, I am so grateful for the half dozen elders to walk along side, on our journeys.

So very lovely to watch the recap of the cabin and pond journey, I am new to your channel, here in New Market , Maryland, USA, my late husband finished out a big Amish shed for me, it turned out to be our little oasis, we built a bed together, and furnished the little cabin with chandeliers and lovely decorations, he built me a little camping toilet area with a curtain, our little love shack as we called it years ago even had a big tv and little refrigerator, our last years together we spent more and more time in our little shack, even if we had our big house just feet away. I cherish those memories, he passed away unexpectedly nearly 7 years ago. And I have since lost my home and live with my elderly parents, caring for them. Your video reminded me so much of how he and I worked together on our little love shack, such beautiful memories. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Wishing you two the best!

My husband passed 11 and 1/2 years ago. He was much like Ant, very handy and could build anything. He built a wood working shop, his hobby. It looked like an old general store. A few years back the shop had to be taken down, termites got into the underside. Your little cabin is a cute little hideaway, tucked away from your other world, the cottage. Everyone needs an Ant in their life, how blessed you are to have such a good friend. In my part of the world it is hard to get anyone around to do anything, everyone is so busy. I’m anxious to see how things go with your sod roof. Another person who has a cabin with a sod roof is Sue Akins from “Life Below Zero”. She renovated an old cabin in Alaska and has also done wondrous things. She planted flowers on hers. Both of you women are simply awesome! ❤️

Why not have Ant make Agnes a block set? A quilt pattern block set. She sees quilt patterns all the time. So, make a frame and she can play with various blocks that fit within the frame. It not only will keep little ones occupied while the adult gets work done on a quilt, but it will foster math and pattern concepts within the brain of the child automatically. You might be surprised at what the little ones come up with as to mixing and matching various patterns or ways of putting various blocks together. Not just for girls either. I know I was fascinated by my quilt and traced the block patterns with my finger as I dozed off. I think she would adore it and so would your other grandkids. They can test the prototypes!
