@@naty-dere-5739 custard apples are easily pollinated by hover flies and some large beetles so no need for hand Pollination. Hover flies are very common in many countries. Soursop needs an efficient pollinator that will ensure that the pollens cover the whole surface area of the stigma. Few insects pollinate soursop flowers and in some locations these insects are not many or are totally absent, this means you will need hand Pollination to get fruits.

@@kingdomgateway7677 the secret is to ensure that you do not apply any chemical fertilizer to the soil. Only apply organic fertiliser. Also you can remove the top layer of the soil every 4 to 6 months and apply fresh soil. There is a video on my channel that shows you how to do this.

@@jkeyj8857 Thank you I use cow dung manure or goat dung manure for the soil. I apply a foliar fertilizer that has NPK in this ratio 6:13:46 every 2 weeks to the leaves. This fertilizer also has micro nutrients like boron, manganese, magnesium, zinc etc. I also apply calcium nitrate to the soil and leaves once a month.

I also apply a fertilizer with macro and micronutrients to the leaves with NPK ratio of 6:13:46 when it starts flowering and fruiting once a month. When it's not flowering I apply a fertilizer with NPK ratio of 20:20:20 to the leaves only.

I use cow dung or goat dung for the soil and I spray the following fertilizers with the specified macro Nutrient ratios on the leaves alternating them every 2 weeks 1, 18:6:6 2, 6:13:46 Calcium Nitrate ( Apply to soil and spray on leaves same day)

@@hopemorrison2367 the tree was grown as an air layered seedling which was propagated from a fruit bearing trees. As such it did not have to grow so big before it started producing flowers and fruits. Most trees that are air layered will grow very well in pots and produce fruits early. I am very much interested into know how to do the hand pollination.Our soursop tree has been having this problem of bearing over hundred of flowers but they will later fall off without any fruit or sometimes it will produce just two or three fruits out of hundreds of flowers. Pls if you can make the video as fast as possible please do, the soursop tree has started flowering and the same problem is still occuring. Pls help me bcos it's wasting. Thanks.

@@africangardening9243 I found out from you other videos and i love such an environment. I have been trying to grow all sort of Afrika plants in the UK over the years. I manage to harvest about 15 okro/okra last year after years of experimenting. I even have a plantain plant since 2021. No plantain but i am making sure it doesn't die.

@@madfarm Apologies my mind was on fruit production. if you tree is very healthy you will normally gets lots of flowers. Soursop trees that are not healthy will produce less flowers. A healthy tree is a tree that is free of pests and diseases and it lacks no nutrients.

I do have one tree now but the fruits last March was infected by insect inside .it grows bigger but when it's ripe .w e found out wt insects inside ,half ripe but the other side rotten by insects

@@marcelinacerdena9017 You need to apply insecticides and Fungicide once a month to prevent the fruits from pests and diseases. A good insecticide is any insecticide containing lambda Cyhalothrin and Fungicide containing Fosethyl Aluminium

@@MYarchitecturalprojects I use cow dung or goat dung as manure for soil and a fertilizer with NPK ration of 6:13:46 with micronutrients. I spray the NPK fertilizer with micronutrients on the leaves
