I find your instructional videos extremely humbling. All of the stuff you have accomplished and earned you did pretty much on your own as you have explained. To give us all this valuable knowledge through your own blood sweat and tears is really a very generous gift.

I'm very happy to share. I didn't have coaches who did that and hopefully these videos make it easier for everyone else.

I searched so much for this type of tutorial to warm up correctly. For some reason nobody wants to talk about this. Thanks!

Cheers for this, this has always been a main struggle of mine, different coaches giving me different advice - number of times I’ve gone into the ring ‘cold’...

Great video Gabe, I always kind of improvise my warmup and i think i was kind of guessing and halfassing it instead of building a system from the ground up

Great video. I hate yo-yo’ing between warm and cold before a fight.

Hey, I watched the fight against Robin van roosmalen and it was great to see how you survived this fight without being knocked out. Could you make a video about this fight? Interesting how you deal with a loos like this and how you stay actually alive and motivated to fight again. Thank you

Doing a streetbeefs backyard brawl, definitely going to do something similar to this. I'm not even close to being in his shape so I'm definitely going to have to shorten everything a bit. Three 2 minute rounds. Basically I've been training for a month doing like 7/10 3 minute rounds with 1 minute breaks every other day and this last week and a half I've been doing 30 rowing machine workouts after my heavy bag work. I just need to stay loose and my cardio will hold up. Going for a KO, wish it was MMA so I could use my Muay Thai experience but the other guy wants to box instead. It's going to be fun, maybe I'll even get 2 fights in on the same day lol.

The warm up is a weird thing to do…sometimes it depends of the person, I have fought without warming up and did fine. But I have seen a lot of things, a friend of mine on his debut fought a guy who warmed up for around 90 minutes straight!! When he entered the ring between nerves and adrenaline was dead in a minute....also have seen coaches doing more or less a functional circuit as a warm up, hell I saw once a guy doing a circuit for his students and because he wasn't finished with it, told the organizer to change the fight schedule

Warmup are so unique to each individual. And sometimes the routine you usually use doesn't seem right one particular night. Fortunately this one has been good for me. But I know what you mean about the variety in warmups you see.

I always wonder if should do explosive full power movements in the warm up, because I don't want to waste the ATP Energy stored in my muscles. so I try to stay aerobic in the warm up. But maybe I'm wrong about this. Would love to know

Hi Gabriel, I wonder if you had some thoughts on fighters physique in relation to kickboxing /MT /MMA and whether you would change anything if weight classes were no longer a thing? What aspects do you feel some fighters sacrifice in order to make weight? Thanks as always, love your work
