Loved it all Madeleine even though I’ve just celebrated my 30th wedding anniversary! It’s all still so relevant you never feel any older than when you’re about 30 anyway. I think that’s when you know who you are and you just move forward and live your life! It’s exciting to have it all before you, I’d do it all again in a heartbeat! Never take it for granted though, you’re doing so well with a lovely job and a lovely home and that lovely man of yours!! Wishing you loads of good vibes and love and so, so well done for all the work you both put in!! 😘😘

Just an idea for your patio sofa conundrum - we've got the same and found that creating a border via pots / raised bed worked really well on that "L" side you described where you would have your back to the garden if you were sitting on the sofa. softens the view a bit and also prevents people from falling off, especially children who are still prone to climbing sofas and then falling off the back of them!
@sue18592 жыл бұрын
Agree, my first thought was that kids would climb onto the sofa and go off the back.

well I’m now loving your wedding content as I recently got engaged and have no idea where to really start. I also just wanted to say thank you for acknowledging that musicians at weddings may sometimes know best in terms of when to play certain songs etc. I’m a singer and have performed at many weddings over the years (resting before one tomorrow haha) and sometimes it’s very frustrating to have so many notes and specific timings for specific songs from brides and grooms. I want to mention that of course, as a band who are professional, we will always do what is suiting the mood of your day and go above and beyond to make sure the party and of course bride and groom are happy, dancing, laughing and enjoying themselves. I just wanted to thank you for acknowledging that we are the professionals and will help guide you guys in the best way we can, alongside providing you loads of fun! happy upcoming wedding! X

I wonder of the book is from the U.S. It is common here to send a "save the date" notice about 6-7 months before the wedding. It only says the date and city. The formal invite is usually sent about 2-3 months prior, which has all the details on venue, time, meals etc.

There was a 90s children’s health ad that was advocating for being yourself/being happy with yourself. It had two girls going into a boutique that was showed them how to change all these things about themselves, looks, personality, and a voice was saying “why be you when you can be me?” The girls ran out giggling and were mocking the tag line. I guess it was a good ad, because it’s stuck with me all these years.

I bought my shoes for 10e and the dress maker covered them in the same lace as my dress. I've worn them loads over the years for special occasions. Will wear them for my daughter's wedding soon. I handmade my bouquet with silk flowers and all the jewelry handed down to me from my grandmother, mother, special friends. My idea was I will add to it....now my daughter will add and she will use it. Its wrapped in brown silk....my daughter will change that to suit her colour team which is peach.

Hello Madeleine, do you know the vegan shoe brand Minuit sur Terre ? There are no technically a wedding shoe brand but they do all types of shoes. There are ethically made in Portugal with Italian fabric from recycled cereals and plastic bottle from the oceans. The leather is made with apple or grape skin. They even have their own second hand platform, Aurore sur Terre.

Oh man, it was 38C here today in the Paris region and it's supposed to be 40C tomorrow, this is the time where it's frustrating that aircon is not standard in most homes in Europe, lol. I mean I understand in a lot of the older stone homes it's not necessary, but our apartment faces south, great in winter horrible in summer, and for the most part it does stay cooler inside but only by like 3 degrees maybe, but there's no freshness to the air when you have to close it off like that. Today I literally filled my bath with cold water and just sat in it for almost 2 hours, lol, got a lot of reading done though, lol

A recommendation for a great hair oil would be olive, avocado or coconut plus some essential oils if you'd like. You don't have to buy a special hair oil, you can just go into your pantry. I thought you would know that lol

Me thinks your Provence vacay impacted you strongly, with lavender on your mind even as a spiller (which it is not) and planted in a deeply shaded side 'planter's, which will not work well. Go for real spillers which may trail DOWN or sideways rather than up, and choose plants that ill.thrive in the shade oh this lovely 'hedge'. Leave the sun loving plants, to the sunnier spots, and you'll enjoy them more (rather than be frustrated that a Mediterranean plant doesn't thrive in a British coastal shady hedge...). May you grow and thrive as a gardener and person
