I started using the Daiwa SS Jig Head a couple of years ago per your recommendation. You're right, it is the sharpest jig head I have ever got my hands on. No other hook compares that I have tried. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Thanks Randy! I live in Japan and I have found that these SS TG jigheads do sell out fast and seem to only be produced a couple of times a year. -- I've noticed low stocks on the shelves here. I'm afraid that some people buy up large amounts and resell them at excessive prices.

Randy, i want to call your attention to something. Daiwa does not use round bend hooks, to get extra strength. Im not gona go into physics, but the shank bends up in a 60 degree very early, and then it has a sharp angle on top. This way they avoid a 90 degree angle anywhere on the wire, which is a weakness. The engineering behind it sounds great, until you try to put a trout magnet or other lure. It causes the lure to bend up too early, and you have to trim the trout magnet. That always bothered me. It was very hard but i found a quality japanese hook with a round bend. The hook is not as strong, but you have a little more shank to support the lure. Additionally I cut the head on the back, both to help with glueing the lure, but also the compressed size head gives u a little extra wire on the front as well. As a result, even my size 12 jigs have a remarkably long shank to support the lure, and the lure doesn't stick up so annoyingly. It will stick up, of course, but less so.

Thanks Victor. I knew that but not in detail. That is the draw back to using these with a TM. It is same with the Gamakutsu. I should have mentioned in video of difficulty dressing it with a TM.

I have feild tested several sizes of the I_fish jig heads. They are a pleasure to use. I even had my jig maker turn some into hair jigs and i'm not a hand tied jig guy but i have just had really good results wirh those. Thanks for the tackle talk

Randy , would the size 6 hook in the SS TG be ok for bluegill ? I’m going with the 1 gram size , thank you sir for your videos, it really helps out to use the right stuff , I usually use sizes 8 or 10 , but can’t find them, size 6 is my only option right now. Thanks again 👍
