Hello The video is already very old, but I'm still hoping for an answer. I have the opportunity to buy a barely used 20 luvias lt 2000 (made in japan). Unfortunately, I read a lot of bad things about the reel. She has a lot of resistance when cranking?! Is the reel really not worth the money?

@@troutmagnetman Hello randy Thanks for your answer. I was able to look at the luvias. I liked her a lot. In a direct comparison with my Vanford, I didn't have the impression that the Luvias had any greater resistance. I bought the Luvias at a good price including almost new Varivas. Hello Troutman! I heard about your channel from Ifish. I am interested in Varivas aji.. I am hunting horse mackerel. which nylon, polyester or braid do you recommend? I would like to buy Aji blue moon but I am not sure how it performs. is it stretchy a lot? is it sensitive to fish bite? should I maybe choose some other varivas? maybe Super Trout Area SVG ? Thank you!
@troutmagnetman2 күн бұрын
The Blue moon is the best FC line I have used. I have had no issues with and it. It sinks and is more sensitive than mono. It has less stretch than nylon line. Don't overlook the Ester lines. They have no stretch and are probably the most sensitive lines you can get.

I notice you kind of jiggle the rod tip on a straight retrieve. Is that how you suggest fishing for panfish? Loop knot or which knot? You just let jig fall to bottom or close to it and thin reel it back slowly? Thanks.

It’s called “Twitching”. Very productive way to catch all panfish. I do reel back slow but the rod tip is always twitching.

Hi Randy I was wanting to pick your brain . I fish from the bank but I’m looking for a rod to catch blue gill crappie and can handle the occasional bass I’m thinking something over 7ft . I currently have a presso air ags 5’10 sul and I love it for my bluegill but twice now I have lost a decent bass from him swimming into the snags can you recommend any jdm rods with a stronger back bone that I can still cast lighter jigs with like 1 gram to 1.5 . If such a rod exists Thanks

@@michaellarkins6983 FC lines reflect less light than other lines. In my opinion the blue color will not matter. If I was worried about the color then I would go with the clear FC.
