You have a tractor so put a hitch mount on the front of the trailer and it’ll make it steering into your garage easier. They sell them at tractor accessory stores. It will make it incredible easy to put the trailer in your garage.

FYI, KZbin’s “stats for nerds” data reports your audio level has been reduced 7.5 db which is quite a lot. An uncompressed, lower volume upload may be clearer than one limited by You tube. 100% is the target so video audio is at a consistent level between different vids. Might pay to check your mic inputs/gain is in top of green range, no red. Check your upload audio against what you tube published.

I watched Adams FD interview and I understand what you mean, but to be honest Grant, your videos are a bit different. They are casual and the different things you're doing are interesting. You talk and brainstorm *to* the audience different to Adam, Jimmy, Luke, Jason but you have less of a structure and presentation. It's more of a journey. Perfect content to just chill out to. Especially binge if a week behind. It's kinda like being part of just hanging out. Or being part of a casual day of what I wish I was doing. Keep it up dude. Don't need to blow minds, it's quality and unique as things are 🤙

Post consistently, use Jimmy as an example. He is consistent so I do look to see if he posted when I get on KZbin. If it’s a great video I watch it, if it’s kind of just filler then I skip it. Staying relevant in peoples sub channel I think is very important.

Your channel doesnt have to be exclusively car build "progress updates". You say you need to work on fabrication skills; practice, learn, document, and share. Or have some kind of supplementary content that your audience is receptive to, then save the car progess as your main content.

You should consider getting a few of the mics as when you have people with you they can have one or you could have a better mic on the camera for some backup audio. This was a way better listen, so keep improving. I think a lot of YTers think a lot about their cam quality and how things look, but good audio is a way bigger deal IMO.

Grant the audio sounds fine. Don't worry about trying to make it any better. Continue doing your amazing video's. I wouldn't put any more time or effort into trying to make the sound better. The only thing that I don't understand is. Why didn't you remove the snow off the trailer? Before putting it in your garage. I can only imagine the mess that it made.😅

I prefer consistent videos with a big build thrown in there for good measure. Like if you have something major going on then going into the same detail you've been doing is good but also just seeing what you do day to day - within reason, is good too. I find it engaging as a viewer to kind of hang out with you vicariously through the videos. Also, the mic is awesome but I would just clip it on your collar/hoodie instead of your hat as it's distracting and I'm sure it would still sound as good. Alternatively get a lapel mic and clip it under your clothes so it's not visible but works better - also being under your clothes prevents wind noise.

That chassis is going to turn out killer! From an audio pro... your audio from the Rhode is better for sure and if the Mic is a "cardioid" polar pattern it might do even better clipped to your shirt pocket pointing up at your chin. The hat position may be better for picking up others you're conversing with along with you, but it will also capture more environmental noise. As far as content, I have no prob waiting till you have a significant amount to warrant editing/posting in your opinion whatever that may contain.

You could always make a second channel with you daily activities and keep you main channel for the bigger videos. Mic is really good, you will wonder how you coped before having to be close to the camera to talk soon.

The audio is way better, your old videos always sound like you ran em through a high pass. No low end ya know. As for content timing, (IMO) I feel your personality matches doing videos whenever you like/are doing something cool as opposed to every day. As a viewer, I like when the person I'm following always is posting. If its bad content, I find that I end up not watching the videos again till its something interesting. I've tried making videos and I gave myself a strict every 3 day posting schedule, and I find that it lacked good content and reallllly just stressed me out and made it not fun to film anymore. So all in all, I say try to post at least once a week, but make it a really good / interesting video!
