Thank you for sharing all of these models and donations from your collection. I had the Matchbox Maxwell Roadster in green I remember I could remove the plastic radiator cover from the front and it clicked back on again. I really love the Commer or Karrier model you have I loved them as vans or trucks especially the sound of the heavier Commers engine sounds so good and distinctive. Had a Corgi Joes Diner with rotating chef and drop down food counter, also used to have a nice yellow one it was a Lucozade delivery truck with plastic rolling shutters, but can’t remember if it was a Dinky or Corgi model. Sorry for havering on so much but have to thank you again for bringing back great memories Sir.

You are welcome and thank you for watching the video, I’m glad you enjoyed it and some of the models brought back some good memories for you, there were quite a few corgis variations but not sure how many, I need to try and make up a collection of all the different ones😊👍🏻 All the best, Nick🐸🐸🐸

And thanks for the shout out on the book! You can tell it was a while ago from the style of the name inside the front cover!

That's a super haul you've got this month, Nick. The Thunderbird models brought childhood memories flooding back, also the Captain Scarlet and Batman cars. Looking forward to your next restoration video. Cheers. Peter. 👍

I think you’re right Martin, I had a bit of a go at it after the base fell off ( couldn’t resist lol) and that is what it looks like from the bits 👍🏻😊🐸🐸🐸

The old red packaging on the Yesteryears was much nicer than the more recent stuff, I thought. 1943 on the MG? Was anyone making sports cars during the war? Even in 1945? The TV stuff seems a bit expensive - I know Thunderbirds stuff has become popular of late, but even though... mind you, I might be a bit out of the loop! I think the Days Gone Royal Mail van is a Morris 8, and though it was made to fit the box, is is quite near the 1:43 scale - I have a couple of these. The Dinky Rolls Royce looked restored. but if it was, it was done well: the colours are perfect! Could the grey Bentley Continental with the unmarked base, be a kit? I'd bet the green blue Rolls Royce is a Hooper body car, I think: a wee Google would sort out the bodywork but the big headlamps are a bit of a giveaway. The brown and blue ones look like Barker bodies - I wonder if these were all body transkits to be attached to the Dinky Wraith, using bumpers, grille and floor? Sommerville? I reckon all those Rolls Royce and Bentley specials are a bit of a set! Don't do anything with them until you find out! The SunStar Mark6 Bentley, was the Standard Steel Bentley - the first Bentley/Rolls Royce shared body, I think... great haul on the RR/Bentleys, though. Interesting! I really have no interest in the film/TV/Character stuff at all - Bond, Batman or Brush, Bang-Bang or anything else! Nor the smallies, but you certainly have had a great shopping period!

Thank you for all the info Fraser, the 1943 MG was 1948, it was my eye sight that wasn’t working too well lol, the grey Bentley did appear to be a kit, when the base fell off I had to start sorting it out, I couldn’t resist but that is what it looked like,. I think those models based on the wraith were all home conversions as Martin says with a lot of filler work. I want to do some of the film /TV stuff to have a bit of a variation in the collection and to make a change, it was a good couple of months for me as you say, a great shopping period 😉😁👍🏻👍🏻 All the best, Nick🐸🐸🐸

Hi will the models you got at auction will they make or lose money in time regards
@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat17393 ай бұрын
Hi Glyn, I really don’t know is my honest answer, only time will tell but I am not really worried about the value as I get them to restore mainly and the good ones to display not to try and make money out of them. All the best, Nick🐸🐸🐸

It looks the same basic model,but with a lot of filler work
@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat17393 ай бұрын
Yes I think you are right on these as well Martin, the wheel arches are definitely filler, you can see by the insides of them, the outsides have been extremely well shaped though😊👍🏻🐸🐸
