Thank you Terry, hopefully won’t be too long before I get onto it, got some models on the go at the moment so when they’re done I must start on the ones for my mate, the TK tow truck being one of them👍😊🐸🐸

Hi Nick ,lovely purchases,gifts. Sad case with your friend. He needs a very good solicitor. Thirty years with his partner and treated like that. Thanks for your video Fay and Austin Greenough Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat17395 ай бұрын
Thank you Austin, trouble with the solicitors as you know, is the cost, which made him hesitant but I believe it’s being looked into now. Glad you enjoyed the video, all the best, Nick🐸🐸😊

@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat17395 ай бұрын
Thank you Andy, there’ll be a restoration one soon😊👍 Trouble with the summer for me, is the extra work due to my job, loads of overtime weekends and Bank holidays, hence my lack of videos lol. All the best, Nick🐸🐸

A lovely lot of models Nick and the Eddie stobart model fleet from your friend Dick what lovely models so so sad what's happened to him some people are unbelievably mean and horrible, I hope he settles in to his new flat nicely and so nice you're going to restore some for him especially the fantastic tk bedford you did for him you did such a good job on that one , the Chipperfield corgi collection is lovely mate great display items there hopefully you can find the other ones so you can have the full collection, hope your cough gets better mate I also had a bad cold about 6 wks ago and have a real chesty dry cough I can't shift , look forward to your next resto mate take care
@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat17395 ай бұрын
Thank you Paul, yes it’s a shame he hasn’t got the room to keep the Stobart models because they are lovely, it’s such a shame the way he’s been treated, he had some quite expensive radio controlled trucks, a pay loader and excavator which all have disappeared as well, they even took his passport from the safe with other papers and personal things😡😡 hopefully I can get the TK back to how it was for him and do the other ones in his colours. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time for the Chipperfields models, I so want to unwrap them to look at them lol but I think it’s better to leave them as they are for the time being, but I reckon they will display well when I get around to finding some display cabinets and decorating what will be my man-cave😁👍 Let’s hope both of our coughs go away soon, take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸

Sorry to hear what happened to your mate, Nick, how can anyone be so cruel and heartless? He's given you some fantastic Eddie Stobart models. You've also got a real nice collection of Chipperfield Circus models too, what a find that was. Another very enjoyable video Nick, looking forward to your next one. Best wishes to you and Monica. Take care. Peter. P.S. Did you receive the email I sent you, a few weeks ago, about the 2 model shops in Rhos on Sea, near Llandudno?
@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat17395 ай бұрын
Thank you Peter, yes I was lucky with the Chipperfield circus models, right place right time for those, just need to sort out some more display cabinets for those and the Stobart models and decorate my mancave lol. Yes I did get your email about the model shops near Llandudno, I thought I had replied but must have forgotten, sorry about that, unfortunately it was only a flying visit this time and we didn’t have time to go and look☹ Take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸

I cannot begin to comment on your friend's dilemma, or how despicable people can be, but it illustrates comprehensively, that whilst you can choose your friends, you cannot choose your family! I got your email on the tail ramp for the French transporter, and the information on the parcel north, but tried to reply on the usual email and got several bounces back. Thanks for the shout out on that, Nick, nonetheless. I was a bit worried, so am happy to see this video, and that you have been busy, rather than dropping out of the loop! You and Corgi Bob and Martin Dare were the triumvirate that got me back into diecasts, so I was a bit concerned! For me, the Stobart trucks are too much in the modern graphics, but I do like the proper signwritten ones on the older chassis trucks. The Ferrari 250LM is a lovely model, and I have a Code3 Budgie Austin, which is really a lovely model. I made up an interior and glass for mine and hand painted a traditional livery: I keep it as it is to see where I was! The MGA would sort with a change of wheels and tyres and getting the daft bumpers off it; the Midj is better. The Shogun is called the Shogun because the Pajero, which the car is actually called, is Spanish slang for 'wanker' it seems. The faded caravan would make a good snack bar if you worked it a bit. The TK Bedford Beavertail is well worth rescuing: it is really splendid! The wee HA Viva's nice, and I have two of these grass cutters: I had no idea they were worth anything! The 'Pure Mineral Water' Chinese job, is a ripoff of a Matchbox Renault. Not a bad DB tractor, and the road roller is lovely! I don't have a lot of time for the circus stuff either: just seems a bit too 'commercial' to be accurate. "Let's sticker up all the old stock in Chipperfield's livery and see what we can get!" The old Dinky Hay Trailers are a delight - I think I have one in reasonable fettle, but they are neat! I have most of the Yesteryear commercials - collected for the graphics - but none of the cars anymore: they were not badly made, though, even if some of the details were out of scale. Your two blue trucks are Crossleys. A good holiday, looks like, and I only made the continuous comments to prove that I watched all the way through! Sort your email!
@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat17395 ай бұрын
Thank you Fraser for your nice long comment, you’re a brave man as even I haven’t watched the finished video all the way through yet lol. You are so right about being able to choose your friends but not your Family. Ralph Cooling commented on my video here, he says the American pickup truck I put the crane in the back of and painted in my mates livery that was also taken, turned up on ebay 3 months or so I didn’t realise the story behind the shogun name, a bit unfortunate I guess but quite amusing! Your suggestion about the caravan is a good one, I was thinking of doing one of the horse boxes as a mobile kiosk, as there are a couple like that here in Jersey. I like the detail on the lorries from the Corgi Classics range, these happened to be in the Chipperfields livery but I couldn’t let them pass me by, but they do need to be kept apart from the older corgi models. Not sure whats going on with the email, I am still getting my emails ok apart from yours for some reason, not sure what I can do about it, I’ll have to have a look ! All the best, Nick🐸🐸

That's a lot of really nice castings you have collected in the last month or so nick, that's upsetting news about your friend dick,there are no words to describe so people's actions, if I can help dick replace models that have been taken, send me a message I will have a look and send them to you ,to pass on . The circus sets are brilliant and a good price , great video. All the best Martin
@crapaudnicksdiecastrenovat17395 ай бұрын
Thank you Martin, the collection just keeps getting bigger lol. Thank you also for your very kind offer of helping replace models that have been taken from Dick, I’m not sure exactly what other models are gone, but I think there are some Dinky tankers gone, I will have to FaceTime him again to try and find out, I did speak with him yesterday as Ralph Cooling mentioned in his comment that he saw the Ford pickup truck that I did for Dick and put the Dinky LandRover crane in the back, for sale on EBay about three months ago and that was definitely one that was taken. I am going to have a look on eBay to see if I can find another one of those to do the same again for him. I think I was lucky with those circus models, being in the right place at the right time, I don’t think they would have been there long if I hadn’t bought them! Thanks again Martin, all the best, Nick🐸🐸 Ps. I have been watching and enjoying your videos, I apologize for not having commented on them of late, but I do look forward to them each week👌👍😊🐸🐸

Hello there Nick that is a very nice collection of model the 2 trucks you didn't know are DAF super space cab you also have one in the 150th scale version as well. Its very sad New about your friend Dick the American pickup that you turned into a crane I see that on eBay 3 months ago I can't understand people you have known for 30 years turn thair back on you ive had the same with my ex partner . Wow as for the chipperfield Circus set that was real good value for money I don't think there's much more to go with that set, looking forward to seeing your next video take care my friend 👍👌

Thank you Ralph and thanks for identifying the models I didn’t know. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time for the chipperfield models, I don’t think they would have been there for very long. As for poor Dick, he has lost a lot of Dinky models and he also had some radio control lorries and diggers, they took the lot, I wish I had seen that listing on ebay to find out what their user name was and to see what else they were selling, to find out if it was them or someone who had bought from them, it really makes my blood boil😡😡 Hopefully it won’t be too long till my next restoration video, I have three on the go at the moment so watch this space lol. Thanks for the info, take care, all the best, Nick🐸🐸🐸
