Very thorough QT process. Can't say I've ever went this far in depth. You gave me a few things to think about. Appreciate the info.

Love these videos! Found your mixing station series and it’s been super helpful! Two comments: 1) Your camera shake can make these hard to watch. Warp Stabilizer in Premiere is your friend! 2) To make these feel more professional, you should disclose any sponsorship. “I just want to give a shout-out to Waterbox for making these videos possible” (or whatever). You *must* disclose any paid promotion or risk a fine from the FTC and a KZbin strike. Just a heads up! Keep it up, these are so helpful for the community! 👊

I saw that you are skipping qt on your corals. Are you concerned about the potential diseases or cysts form that will come from corals (mostly stony corals)? I believe Humblefish has mentioned this on some reefing forums. With that said, wouldn't you be risking all your effort? Ofc I understand qt will not eliminate 100% of everything, but still, I'd like to hear your insight on this.

Best qt video ever! Do you have to treat or dont some people just observe and then treat? I guess observing then treating could take a lot longer! also what about adding fritz turbo start, i heard that cycle with fish in 5 days with no ammonia spikes or is that only if you have live rock sand ect?

have you tried using a freshwater dip?
@ericn91753 жыл бұрын
Copper power will not precipitate out of the water as quickly as seachem cuprimine. I think that’s what you were getting at around the 1:24 mark.

if there could be a loss in nitrifying bacteria then maybe add more supplemental nitrobakter, doc tim’s eco-balance etc

It’s not even worth it if you have copper in the tank. Just watch the ammonia and make sure it doesn’t spike

Hey bud, just a general cure question. Doesn’t humblefish say to dose once and wait 7 days and dose again and not follow the 48 hours on the box.

If I build a quarantine fish tank, what should I do with the tank after each quarantine? Since there is mature filter material in the fish tank, can I just change 100% of the water to remove the residual drugs in the water? Thank you

Great video! Thanks for the info, what do you find the best way to reduce your copper level following the 30 days? Just water changes? Or any products? Carbon?

Hey bro love your videos by the way and your new aquarium looks amazing, what do you use for external flukes and gill flukes? Do you use General Cure dosed directly into the QT water because I only see you using General Cure for internal parasites.

I was watching a video from Tidal Garden and they don’t use copper for quarantine they use Formaldehyde

Are you saying if i just put general cure directly to the tank it wont kill the internal parasites? Medicating the food is out of the option if your fish dont eat. So how do you kill an internal parasite for fish that dont eat? Please advice

I have no idea why he said that. You can absolutely treat an internal parasite by putting in the water. In fact you see they'll start shitting out that white stringy stuff as soon as you use it.

I have a question. You said when topping up with freshwater you needed to add copper? So does that mean the copper leaves the tank when freshwater evaporates?
@jamiej45443 жыл бұрын
umm, your link for hanna colrimieter is for an iron checker and is different model name number than what humblefish suggest

Go to humble.fish to learn how to qt fish. All this guy is is a commercial to whomever gives him free stuff. Antonio, is the shirt in the contract details you signed with Waterbox? He’s not a hobbyist, he’s a commercial. Worst of all, he hides all these details. It should clearly state on all these videos SPONSORED. It’s not genuine.

After you do General Cure do you put the carbon filter back in as directed? Will it absorb the copper?
