One of the advantages of being old is that I was around to buy these when they came out. I've got all of the albums and probably all of the singles, including the 12" versions, coloured and engraved versions, etc.

I have all their Singles and only one Album. That one Is "News of the World" I was given It back In the day at the local Record Shop. It was a Promo with the Pop Up Gatefold Sleeve. The Iron Man would Pop up that back and His Arm would fold Back In the Stretch Position. And the People would Pop up at the Front. I have never seen another one.

I’m into Queen and have over 350 items so that’s multiple vinyl pressings and CD editions of the same albums! Queen, like The Beatles and other great bands are not cheap but that’s why we love them!

Sheer Heart Attack is probably one of there best albums and would have to agree is a great one start with. Also the song Sheer Heart Attack was written at the same time the album came out however Roger did not finish it. Later Freddie and Roger revisited the song for News of the World, as Punk Rock was very popular then and it had that sort of feel, finished it and put it on the album

As a Queen fan I’m surprised you don’t know the idea behind the back of a Day at the races album nor the Queen logo. In the crest you have the Q, (for obvious reasons), under the Phoenix the represent the birth and protection of the band, but inside you have the different animals representing the different Queen members. The Lion is for Brian and John, which are both Leo 🦁 The crab is for Roger, (cancer 🦀 ) and the lady is for Freddie ( Virgo)

hey there! if you wish to preserve these records, try not to touch the grooves. handle them only by the edges and the label. touching the grooves ruins the grooves whether it be the oils in your fingers, or your fingernails scraping the record. the miracle album, i understand since it has a lot of skips, but the others, i'd be more careful. other than that, great video! really puts a smile on my face. :)

I don't really understand peoples affinity towards original prints.. I mean if it is then cool but I would much rather buy a new repressed album then buy a used copy just because its original. Especially when it's one of my favorite bands and I trying to have the collection to show off. Need those near mint condition sleeves :D... Still awesome collection I need to pick up some of these since I only have their greatest hits

The main reason why people prefer original pressings is the sound. There's a drastic sonic difference between originals and reissues, which may (or may not) justify the expensiveness of the former ones. If you can stand the "modern" sound of re-issued pressings (more bass, digital compression and the whole sound character some people tend to describe as "metallic") - go for it, they are *much* cheaper. If you're getting vinyl for collection purposes only and the sound doesn't matter to you - once again, go for reissues. But if you're searching for the classic Queen sound on the vinyl - original pressings are the only way to go IMO.

The way you handle these covers and records kind of makes me cringe a lot 😳 like sliding the Queen 2 FIRST PRESS across the floor to open the cover with one hand. Kind of annoys me, no wonder so many of the first presses left around are in the condition they’re in
