Fun Fact: The reason for Tim Drake being shown as Robin at such a young age is due to WBKids wanting a younger Robin to cater to a younger audience, since this was the time in the 90s where every kids show had a kid character in it for audiences to relate to.

This episode is an adaptation of the tie in comic Batman Adventures Holiday Special but they used new character designs instead of BTAS designs and they cut a sweet Mr Freeze story from it and a later episode (Mad Love) is also adapted same deal they cut parts and used the redesigns instead of BTAS

First of all, I am so glad you have made it to THE NEW BATMAN ADVENTURES (you are going to see the new looks of ALL of the villains here). Second, I believe this is the same voice actor from the original (Ron Perlman) Clayface. Third, I believe in the original series, Dick Grayson was 9 years old when Batman revealed his identity to him (so the original Robin started younger than Tim Drake).

This is my favorite episode of BTAS. I watch it every New Years (and that scene with Batman & Gordon at the ends makes me tear up after Conroy’s passing). This episode perfectly encapsulates who each of these characters are and why they’re so popular. Also, if you really want more good Bullock stories, you gotta react to Gotham!

that's because the show was no longer on fox it was moved to kids WB and because of that they were able to do things they hardly couldn't do in the original show when it was on fox

@@blueblur2273 Mixed feelings. I really liked the style of BTAS / Batman and Robin and the revamped style, to make it better fit with STAS, lost some of that brand of magic. (and I just am not a fan of the new Joker, Killer Croc, Catwoman and to a certain extend Poison Ivy's designs). I also am of the opinion that the censors required the original show to be more creative (although there are for sure a few duds), adding something special to those storylines. But, I do agree the stories now feel larger, and how can be to upset with TNBA, if it gets Batman form up with Superman on occasion, and eventually giving us Justice League / JLU.

Yeah TNBA was a lot more funnier. This is about as classic Christmas watch as another movie for me. Harley and Ivy drugging and kidnapping Bruce to go shopping is what they’d do. And yeah Bullock may be a loud obnoxious short tempered jerk but he is a good cop and a good man under the cynicism and grumpiness. That ending of Batman and Gordon having a cup of coffee and toasting to surviving another year. People sometimes forget that Bruce Wayne is the mask persona Batman is who he really is and for one moment he can just do something as simple as share coffee with a friend for a moment he’s not fighting bad guys he lets his guard down for one moment and just be human.

Really loving these reactions! Tou might seek out the new opening credits for this season. When it aired originally, they called it the New Batman/Superman Adventures. The new credits were pretty much colorshifted episode clips, but the new theme music us worth listening to.

Eh honestly other than Riddler’s brief appearance and maybe Penguin I’d say they’re at least roughly the same or even better. Catwoman and Joker are a bit odd but I like them and both Scarecrow and Killer Croc get a huge upgrade IMO

Not gonna lie I'm not a big Harley Quinn fan I'm kind of sick of her. Especially after that terrible Suicide Squad game. We desperately need Paul Dini back. He can make Harley great again.
