So it appears connecting to the internet on one profile also does it for ALL profiles. So me collecting my event shiny galarian articuno removed the milcery event on my second profile as well… I guess I gotta breed for the rest of these 😫

Hello. I'm not sure if you know this, but the second you found the shiny Milcery you could have completed your goal. You just need a sibling with a Switch + the game. You then infinitely keep resetting the game while the other catches them once you defeat the Milcery. This is the method I do to catch multiple shiny pokemon during these events. Make sure not to use the internet and only connect through LAN.

That would completely take away the point of the challenge IMO. I like hunting for shinies so farming the same shiny over and over again is a huge pass for me. Also I do not own a second switch and my brother does not live with my lol

It’s only the icon in the PC box that is different, I know this because I got 7 shiny milcery, and accidentally evolved them into ruby cream instead of rainbow swirl, luckily I could just reset my game and try again

Oh man, stumbling on this way too late but if you're going to do the date skip you chose the slowest way possible to find new Shiny raids. Once you find an event raid using a Wishing Piece you can do the date skip while in the "waiting for others stage" and it will move to the next event raid when you leave the raid and come back into it. You can cycle through raids much faster than tracking down each active raid and then skipping the date.

Good luck! I actually haven’t worked on this in a while but I’m gonna restart it by doing it all full odds as well! Now that Milcery can be found in Scarlet and Violet, it makes it a lot more realistic to hunt them all full odds!

Hmmm I see your reasoning for going for 63 shiny forms, but they don’t show that way in Home, so I’d still consider a shiny form dex for Alcremie complete with the 7 sweet forms. All the power to you though, this is ridiculous

They register the separate forms based on the swirl. So if you get one of each sweet and one of each swirl it will register them all. You will not be able to register every one with just 7 shinies. Also in Sword and Shield, that Pokédex registers each form separately 😅(I show that off in part 4)

Those aren’t different forms though. It’s just an algorithm. Alcremie actually has them registered as separate form changes!

Yeah...not gonna go 63 shinies. I might go for 7 each with the different sweets because the swirl patterns do not show up in home at this point. So, i am content with thinking there are only 7 forms.

If you want all of the shiny forms registered into home, you’ll need one of each swirl and one of each sweet and the Dex will fill in the rest. If you want all of the shiny forms registered in the SWSH dex, you’ll need all 63 of them 😬

@@ThedomiNATION i got 1 shiny milcery today. Just trying to get 3 starter for my living shiny dex is a pain. So, thinking about getting 63 more shiny milcery means i am doing nothing but this for the rest of year. Here's hoping gen 10 adds her into a more SV style game for an easier encounter. I might just get a shiny rainbow swirl star sweet alcremie and call it a day if just getting 7 is too much.

@@goldmemberpb yeah I agree I wish there was a better way to hunt them. I’ve been making myself a rule where my shiny living Dex that I go for I want them all to be full odds. But I just can’t bring myself to hunt 63 of them full odds eggs… so for now Masuda method is good lol

@@ThedomiNATION I am not that patience for that kind of self imposed challenge for my living dex. My only rule is that I am not counting traded shinies and any event shinies unless they are only way currently to get them. So, the galarian birds, the dark days trio etc event shinies count for now. Everything else, being able to get them as quickly as possible to fill out that shiny dex is A-OK for me. Friend Safari, Chain fishing, Wormhole hunting, and the new sandwich methods are a godsend when you want to shiny hunt but also want to play more games aside from just shiny hunting. Sure the shinies aren't as valuable but I have done my fair share of " should I really do this" hunts like pokeradaring for really difficult areas, gen 1 hunts, full odds legendary resets in older games, and even the gen 5 roamers. I even managed the rare form variants shiny in SV recently and those are a 1 in 51200 odds. So, those balance it out.

The shiny colors do look the same but since Alcremie has 63 different forms, naturally there’s a shiny version of every one of those forms. The Pokémon Home Pokédex and the sword and shield Pokédex keeps track of all the shiny forms you have. Also you can see which one is which with the mini sprites in your pc!
