The Durham Hearing Specialists had a difficult case recently on their channel and they asked if I had any ideas what it could be. Luckily for me I've treated a few of these cases before so here is my reaction video to their video. I've put in what I think it is and 3 ways to treat it.
I apologise for the poor quality of this video - I only heard about this request yesterday and so I figured it was better to not worry about the quality and just get a video uploaded.
If you haven't seen their video yet, watch that first and then come back. I didn't feel I had consent to use his video so i've not included it in my video.
• Mystery Dead Skin Form...
Hope you find it useful.

I am going to start making a collection of NFTs about environmental projects I am passionate about. They aren't for sale yet, but once I have a few I will put them on the blockchain. All profits will be donated to charities. This first one is about plastic in the sea, and I will find a charity that will accept a crypto donation. I will also make a video one day explaining the benefits of NFTs. It also gives me a chance to flex some artistic brain cells I haven't used in many many years.

Yep agreed. also I noticed that it was only part way over the TM so the scraping off the canal skin won't work. Good luck mate!

I'm just a person who is casually curious about the way the body functions and malfunctions, but man, I've been thinking about that patient for about a year, imagining how annoying that issue must be for him! I'm THRILLED to hear that there are some options for him. Thank you for letting us see what a good doctor collaboration looks like behind the scenes.

Not enough +1s available for this video! This is really fascinating content and makes me appreciate the complexity and self repair capabilities of the living body. Little preprogrammed cellular automata marching out in accordance with their programming, even if it matches them over a cliff (or across the ear canal). It's amazing that with a little coaxing you can redirect them in the proper direction.

Doctors helping other doctors on KZbin! What a world! Think back just 30 years ago. You'd be spending months emailing every other ear doctor you could find in the ear doctor directory looking for opinions, with really bad photos. Simply amazing. Social media is good .01% of the time.

1:45 are any of those inkblot studies (or any newer ones) free available or are they all published in those super prestigious journals that most out of field people (so since this is an ear study, most non-medical people) don't subscribe to?

I expected the cause but have no idea how to solve I might suggest a slight painful option if I don't watched the video making some wounds at point where canal and drum meet that probably cause more bad than good (by wounds I mean some very small scratches; abrasions? Not sure English is my second language) and try to let it repair the damage on its own having a few visits like 5-10 days checking what's going on yeah probably more bad than good

If I were looking for a natural, non toxic treatment for this, and I lived where it was legal, I'd try a 1/10 ratio of live rosin or other activated essential oil of that most medicinal repressed plant product, to coconut oil, and put about 10-20 drops in my ear a day...
