Also it’s good to have a “set routine” but you can still get along fine with just doing stuff you like. I just try to think more in Spanish on days I don’t study much. If I look up a how to video I’ll watch it in Spanish, or if I tell/hear a story in English I’ll try to do it again in my head in Spanish.

Very impressed that you were listening to intermediate level podcasts after only 6 months of study. I've tried pretty much all of the ones you recommended but cant quite find something for my level, its hard to get through them when you understand so little. I'm nearly finished dreaming in spanish super beginner playlist so I guess I'll stick with those for a few months and try these recommendations again.

I am sure most people have come across this on YT. Butterfly Spanish is really good for starting. Super cool lady that is from Mexico. Easy Spanish also... Interviews on the street. Easy languages can almost view any. Easy Russian, Easy German, Easy French, Easy Polish.... Lots of others 👍👍👍👍

I'm glad my advice was helpful. And I disagree, I think you're a great example to follow for language learning. For one I wish I had recorded my progress when I was learning Spanish, but I get to relive some of it vicariously through your channel. Your videos about your process of learning Spanish are way more realistic than many of the other language learning KZbinrs I've seen. You show that you gradually make gains little by little and that it's just not making huge level ups all the time which I think is way more valuable and inspiring to other people learning languages than watching someone post a 3-month progress video out of the blue like your like " yo, speak Spanish now!"

I'm always listening to podcasts when I'm doing chores or commuting. I also like "Charlas Hispanas" because it samples different accents across latin america, so I get the exposure to all of them.

What I also do is to save some Spanish KZbin vides as MP3 files, so I can just listen to them like podcasts. And I also edit some Spanish podcasts with English narration into Spanish-only podcasts, so I can listen to them again and again without having to listen to the English parts again. e.g. Duolingo's Spanish podcasts, they speak at a moderate speed rather than their normal "machine gun" speed. JAJAJA

Hello! Love your videos; they're super fun and engaging! I was wondering if you could recommend a Spanish textbook to learn from? I don't want to learn European Spanish, otherwise I would've bought the one you're using, and you mentioned in a previous video that it doesn't give the Latin American versions of certain words. hey ive been watching your videos. been learning spanish for about 6 weeks now and i am very slow learner. I tried to do italki like 5 times now and my mind goes blank as soon as i try and put together basic sentences and phrases. Like i can say a few things especially if i preplan them or write them in engliush then translate into spanish on the fly, but to recall it mid convo i can't seem to do it. I got discouraged and stopped doing italki and now i am focusing on reviewing a lot of what i am learning in spanish class (which is 2 days per week, 1 hour each day) as well as watching dreaming spanish videos. I'm just wondering, at what point do you think i should actually try to practice having conversations again? Because it seems like it takes a certain level to actually practice conversations, as right now i am so slow and retarded sounding when i try to talk that everyone gets frustrated trying to talk to me, and i get frustrated too. I'm wondering like how many months in were you or how advanced were you when you were actually able to start practicing conversations with people? Because im scared now to even try to speak any spanish to anyone. The last few times i made a fool out of myself. I'm hoping if i can learn a few more months and maybe practice talking by myself first then maybe i'll be ready to try italki again.. what do you think?

I was actually born in the UK, but we moved to Japan when I was 1, so I don’t even remember😅 I grew up bilingual but I’d say that my Japanese is better than my English! I’m so glad that you enjoy my videos!:)

I hate the Spanish accent. xD :D This is why. It's not natural. The natural tongue's position is inside the mouth. Another example about natual position: Eating. There is a theory that says that he could actually have been born in Japan and not in Peru. Currently, his daughter could be elected president.
