I suspect modifying the viscous coupler allows more torque transfer which twists the differential relative to the frame and allows the axels to pop out or in your case break out

Question, is the gear ratio front and rear the same? It almost looks like their fighting each other but the rear keeps on loosing. I could be wrong, just something to ponder.

The honda awd system isn't a full time awd, rear diff engages only when the front wheels start to spin either through viscous coupling or dual pump system on the crv.
