My Record Room Tour

I give my first official room tour, it’s been hard work getting my stereo set up, and atmosphere. I like to listen to my records and cds while I relax in my listening chair or when I edit videos. It’s always nice to see others record rooms so here is mine, sweet and short

Great setup, love the room. I think the acoustics in a smaller room always sound better than in a larger space. And you're able to really listen to the music, which is harder when you're around people. More enjoyment. 😅👍🏻 Your daughter is a sweet kid by the way. She looks a lot like her pretty mom. 😊

Enjoyed the room tour, I can imagine one day you will have many of those cd shelves. Like seeing that tape deck we used to use them to tape records and make demos of our band.

Subscribed. Nice music room. You can just put a cardboard cut out of a shipping box to put over your record player while you’re not using it to minimize your dust issue for cheap. Put some record store/band stickers on the box to make it interesting. Hope that was useful. Have a good day.

New subscriber! I liked your room tour. I did notice your tape player was on top of your speaker (if this has been pointed out already, or I was mistaken, I apologize) speaker magnets can have a bad effect on tapes, they can erase them! Always cool to see other peoples listening rooms.

Thanks for the room tour. Love that you got a lot of your equipment at Goodwill because it shows how much you can enjoy this hobby without having to invest in the latest and greatest Hi-Fi equipment. Enjoy!

Thank you, so true, this hobby can be expensive, I try to show that it's possible to finding second hand equipment, just might take some time. Took 2 years to find my CD player . Thanks for noticing that!

Nice! Wish I had a dedicated room for just listening to music and editing! Very envious of those filming lights very professional, takes me back to my film studies days in uni 😂

Thanks! You’re record space is super cool too, the lights weren’t very expensive, I think $250, I did have to save for them, so much easier than the cheap light boxes I use to have and I hated setting them up 😅

@@MonieMuse thanks! I’m very happy with it I just wish I didn’t have to have my bed and wardrobe in the same room 😂 would love to have a comfy sofa or something instead 😊 oh nice! I’ve currently got two £5 eBay ring likes and a £15 sunset light from Amazon 😅

@@thevinyldood great ideas, the couch would be awesome in a bed room. when we lived in a little place and just had one baby, we had a floor Japanese bed (so the baby wouldnt fall off) and ended up being a great idea when it was time to film, I would roll the bed up during the day.

Thank you, my room is naturally dark, so I started designing my room with lighting. Its been fun to add colors and play with that part of the video. Thank you for the sweet compliment!

Aloha Monica Such an Organize room. I like the ambiance. I could see you adding another CD shelf to that wall . Your lighting brings a warmth to the room. Thank you for an updated room tour. Hopefully on your next episode I would love to see the record albums you're getting rid of, I'm just curious to see what people get rid of. With space as a premium you only can have so many record albums so you might as well get the best that you're gonna enjoy and play, Smart move to sell them so that you can use the credit to buy something you really like. That's a great episode idea, Im always a little shy to share what I don't like cause I know there is someone out there who would love it lol. I was happy to finally organize the music, and fit everything in, it'll be interesting to see next year what I do with my growing collection.

Monie, I Love your room and how you have it setup. One question, actually two. Do you have any 45's? and I love those bring room lights. Where did you buy those? I have quite a few rooms that are very dark. Merry Christmas

Hi, I don’t own any 45s, I know zero about them. We’re they like eps, 4 songs or singles? I’m confused about why they don’t have covers when I come across them . For the lights, are you talking about the ones I have on top hanging? Those are Chinese lanterns, very cheap lighting, I ordered it all from Amazon, put hooks on the roof.

Dust is a problem in my apartment as well. I live in an old building and the dust gets discouraging. Do you have a dust cover for the Pro-ject? They make great 'tables; good choice.

I have a cover for the project turn table but the back hook broke off like the first year I had it . I should try and fix it, I’m sure super glue will work. Thanks for giving me the idea lol 😆

I have the Project Debut Carbon DC, got it in 2021. My receiver is Sony Digital Cinema Sound ex, and speakers Sony too.

If I told you that i'm far behind on my videos does this surprise you? nice cd's by the 6 minute mark do you think your daughter would have any interest in the records? questions 2. does your daughter like any of the music that you like? 3. TJ Max sells lights or just the ones on the west coast ? does the Paramus store sell lights? 4. not including records/ music did you get any music items small or large small example Chapstick any bands , tooth brushes , hand sanatizer mints any music bands? large items mugs , drinking glasses, shirts , hoodies, socks , hats any music merchandise bags ?

I wanted to get The Beach Boys sweater and a hat, I just got a moniemuse shirt hahaha.. Gus bought me the Nirvana Unplug vinyl, and I got the Brenda Lee record - which is REALLY GOOD! My daughter enjoys the cds more, I think cause I don't get fussy about her playing with the cds haha. TJ Max and Marshells always has cool little led lights for around $10. I didn't get any music merchandise but a bag sounds cool!!! What did you get for Christmas? I appreciate you taking the time to watch my videos.

@@MonieMuse No Music related items. from my secret Santa I got a Dunkin Donuts gift card small amount during the week gifts , Whitmans Chocolate, Hot Chocolate small thing of godvia and the big gift from out west Oakland Raiders slippers it was Christa who picked me. from my brother , sister inlaw and neices I got a Toronto Maple leafs cutting board!!! no Music gifts small or large.
