This came across my feed, and just a heads up, that first wish (company changes) came true; Blizzard is no longer under Activision! They've acknowledged THAT sword! AND dragonriding (which will be called dynamic flight in the next expansion, because its being given to a majority of flying mounts) will be usable in every zone you can normally fly in in an upcoming patch (10.2.5). It may be a year later, but some of those wishes have come true!

I only disagree on the part you say draconoids should be male and current Drac should be female body types. Imo both male and female should be able to be that beefy or that skinny xD But I agree we should've gotten something similar to the draconoids as body type.

Also Alexstrasza was always the leader of the Aspects. She is the Dragon Queen. Always has been.

@@Knives7777 yes it literally is. Since the creation of the aspects she was the leader and queen appointed by the titan keepers. Even before they were aspects she served as their leader while fighting Galakrond. Thats why she became the dragon queen in the first place.

@@KingMidgardsormr Let me reiterate, this title "Queen" is very recent. Through most of wow's early lore and expansions, she had no such title they operated independently of each other's will go back to any earlier expansion and tell me where they ever mentioned her as THEIR queen not queen of the red dragonflight but queen of the overall dragonflight that was never her title. This is the same thing with calling the King of stormwind the over all king of the alliance or high king up until Mop or so that was never a thing this was just shoehorned into make it look like it was always the case. In both instances, it wasn't. From as far back as Day of the Dragon through war of the ancients to Nexus Point to Night of the dragon (these books are sitting on a shelf not 2 feet from me) up to as Recently as the Nexus war Alextraza was never Mentioned as ANYbody's queen not Deathwing/ neltharion and not malygos Not Ysera and Not Norzdormu they barely even talk about her (or each other for that matter) outside of going to rescue her that one time. Not even when they hatched Wrathion did they call her that. He went through all of mop and BFA and never called her that either. I am 100% certain of that no other aspect called her by that name or gave her such titles (until this expansion). Checked the wiki and check the books it was never a thing until maybe connecting novellas between Shadowlands and DF.

she was called "dragon queen" in World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1 page 45 that was when it started in that books retelling of the imbueing of the dragonflights. This book was from 2016. As I said in my earlier comment this wasn't a thing from the beginning and certainly not in the game until very recently.

Late to the party but: The split among the drakthyr is not Horde/Alliance but self-centered vs. outreaching to the player factions. There should have been a point of more emphasis on Sarkareths decisions. Either a longer cinematic or speech. Or a well set up quest chain (which happened for later story development in 10.0.7). Alextrasza is the only Aspect left in their old position. Malygos went mad and Kalecgos lacked the fortitude to fill his position. Ysera is/was dead/in the SL realm. Nozdormu was plagued with doubt and bad visions of the future. Neltharion, well he was Deathwing which explains itself.

Yo love the video, coming from wow and decided to try out ff14 randomly so this was a cool parallel. About the loading issue you are having, I'll say wow for me and a lot of people has a lot of weird bugs, especially if you're using addons. Could be worth looking into resetting your UI or verifying game files. Also in dragon isles I would suggest crank world detail and view distance down in graphics if you aren't using an SSD, helped a bit for me.

Evokers do have a shorter range (15 m less or something like that), but they are meant to be a "mobile caster", if that makes sense. Hover allows them to cast while moving, something no other class can do, so chasing people and keeping just enough distance to harass the enemy is their sort of play style. They also have a lot of AoE spells that either have more damage or utility than most other casters as well.

I'm an experienced player, but on survival hunter (also known as Lé squishy class) I did just fine in the bronze dragonflight area, if the area ends up bugged I'd just log off and log back in. Alot of spell balances are made for both pve and pvp.

I play WoW and FFXIV at the same time too. Make sure to work out your muscle memory between games or you'll be trying to use Low Blow on your Brewmaster Monk.

I mean, sure the gameplay has its strengths but when it comes to the community the meta has historically been set up to foster competition with very few restraints on griefing. Needless to say there's the whole Alliance vs Horde aspect, before the change to PvE/PvP servers, high level players on PvP servers had free reign to gank low levels with the only thing getting in the way being the hope that high level players on the other faction would come to the rescue. But putting the factions aside, players on the same faction have their share of conflict as well. In PvE dungeons and raids aren't necessarily badly designed, but they are constructed in a way that can make teamwork a struggle. Many mechanics throughout WoWs history have had minimal explanation within the game itself, requiring people to do a lot of homework and memorizing, plus options to rez in the middle of battle have been very restrictive, thus mistakes made by one or a few people can cause wipes on a more frequent basis and can be damaging on the team's morale. Another thing that might seem minor but also contributes is how many things in open world content historically have been set up to foster competition as well. In the early days players couldn't get credit for killing mobs they didn't tag which has been vastly improved later on. Gathering nodes have also been shared, last time I played they did make changes to make it so nodes stay up longer after being harvested which is nice but still in FF14 each player has their own nodes and never has to worry about others taking it. And lastly there's the company's general attitude that makes a pretty significant difference. Square Enix takes toxicity very seriously and does a lot to enforce the ToS against it (although they're certainly not perfect) whereas Blizzard is a bit more laissez faire on community interactions aside from when people cross the line of extremely offensive language in chat. SE also has things like the commendation system to reward players for getting along.

Agreed, been playing since Vanilla too, it didn't used to be like that, it was ruined when they introduced the E-sport culture to the game. I just get on to mostly transmog, last few months I've been transitioning to FF14 as a Hrothgar, the other races imo are just varied humans.

26:00 you can get a kington one for like 20 or 30 dollars that has like 240 to 480 gb. SSDs make running nearly 85% current gen games faster and can make you pc boot up way faster if you put your window boot on it.

This video is kinda making me want to give WoW another shot… just hesitant because of how toxic wow players are I already tried in BFA when I was actively looking for a mmo to play I was a priest and people kept kicking me for being new to dungeons so I never got through any. Ffxiv on the other hand I have a total of 2 people backlisted lol and I’ve been playing for 3 years.

I've not seen your content before, but I will certainly see it again. Very enjoyable and informative, as a previous WoW player and current FFXIV player. Thank you for reminding people the two games don't have to exclusive of each other! Both are worth playing, in their own way. The WoW story has always been bad, IMO. Yeah, it was better in WotLK, but prior to that it was basically nonexistent, and after that it went steadily downhill, largely because, as you observed, too much of the lore is outside the game. I still like the combat and encounter design better in WoW, but FF is better for me in most other ways (story, glam, gearing system, crafting).

sometimes ssds are on sale, look out for that, its one of the best upgrades for your pc, even 500gb to throw your games on it is better then nothing. ffxiv would also benefit from that a lot, thats the best advice i can give u

99% of people who tell you WoW has a good story are only watching lore videos explaining the story to them and by explaining I mean using a lot of personal take and head cannon to fix plot holes. Some plot points got retconned, some characters development are throws out of the window. WoW story only worked in isolation but putting them together there is pretty much no cohesiveness to the story.

ff14 even loads 40% faster with the SSD it's not the big of a problem in ff14 compared to wow because ff14 loads just the city or 1/2 of the city when you log in wow loads kind loads the whole area your in which is why you fly around the whole content with loading screen. while in ff14 you get loading just going under water. Also btw the next ff14 expansion is going to be on ps5 hardware they make you have to have a SSD also for the pc version.

Nope. XIV requires new players play the entire story start to finish, unless you pay extra to skip it. That means the leveling experience can take hundreds of hours compared to WoW where the story takes a backseat and you only have to play a fraction of a single expansion.

@@Sandberry so... yes. It would be the equivalent of me *paying* to skip ffxiv expansions and then making a video where I'm confused about the characters and events. Which is possible in WoW as well btw. You can play through every expansion at any level. You don't have to go straight to Dragonflight. Although with the way blizzard does things there are now quests missing from expansions. This isn't me defending wow or attacking ffxiv in any way as well. Just kind of odd to make a video passionately confused about a story you paid to skip the context to.

Please A SSD makes playing games and just running your computer as a whole so much better I made the switch 4 years from having everything on my harddrive to. you can still most of your stuff on old hardive you can more then one drive in your computer . trust me the 20 to 30 dollars for just cheap Kingston one is a very good investment for your computer evne ps5 and the xboxs ones run on SSD's.

I do have to make one small correction. Most of the WoW's lore is not hidden in books and multimedia. It's all in WoW. It just does a fucking horrible job of showing the story to you as it forces you to start at Battle for Azeroth instead of vanilla.

Okay so it seems you fell into the "What Sword lol"-trap. The Sword is dealt with. The Danger it poses has been neutralized. The quest where that happens just isn't in the Game anymore. Yeah, it's still stuck there. How are we meant to get it out? In-canon, we do not have the means. Plus, this Planet can BLEED. What do you NOT do? Pull the stabbage out of a stab wound if you can't manage the bleeding. We can't.

As for the Dracthyr Classes - You wake up from 20.000 Years of slumber. On an Island you never left since your conception. Where are you meant to have learned being a SHAMAN for example?

Concerning Alexstrasza, the Aspects are leaders of their Flights. Red, Green, Blue, Bronze and Black. Alexstrasza is THE Dragon, essentially and pretty much literally the first Dragon Aspect. Of all the aspects, she is the most important. The tie-breaker, the Mom.

@@SyncWeaver They are. Every Dracthyr you see on the Dragon Isles is an evoker. Dracthyr were made to be Evokers, these elite magic soldiers that can use the powers of all flights. I have also now finished the Video, and you do not -need- an SSD to play, I don't. Loading in initially takes time, that has been an issue since Legion and is to my knowledge tied to the fact that, after all, this is a Game from 2004. They squeeze out amazing visuals, but that is at a certain cost. Once you have fully loaded in, any further performance issues will ultimately be your graphics settings being too high Concerning Evoker range - yes, you are closer. Evokers are a mid-range caster. A trait unique to them as casters. They are a hard class to play, the game warns you of this beforehand. Even I struggle, abd my 23 y/o ass has been on Azeroth since I was 7.

Retail is just unacceptable. Play Classic if you want some timefiller between ff14 content.. or get some awesome games like God of War.. Horizon0dawn, RDR.. there are so many games and retail is the last game anyone should ever touch.. from community.. to content.. to the developing company it’s all got too many reasons to never play retail.
