What up Moe! As long as you’re not mixing the brands you should be good, if the urechem is cured and can be sanded you should be able to flow coat with G7 clear

I’ve never sprayed the all kandy clear so I can’t really compare them, but from what I’ve seen they are both nice products but in my opinion I think the Grant 7 Oh My clear is a better clear

I too am a one man operation, I've been paying 28 years professionally. Been working on my own shop the last 5 or 6 years.. as i can afford to build it... it's by far not nice... but I'm blessed to have a place right next to my home to work from. Paint and paint prep, and body work is my forte. I'm just getting into doing panel replacement, and getting better while Iearn. I subscribed to your channel. Keep up the work. A question I have about the grant 7 clear. I have not visited his site yet, but do you know if it has good UV protection. The UV protection is what keeps the color from fading, and also helps keep the clear from peeling off later down the road.

Mizell Paint & Body Shop I salute you for being a one man show it’s definitely not easy but a great road to be on. The Grant 7 clear has great UV protection and doesn’t dye back. Spraying 1 coat is like spraying 2 coats so it gives you plenty of material to cut and polish if you choose but flows so great that if it’s sprayed correctly you can have a “ no buff “ finish. I hope this helps and I appreciate you for subscribing and supporting the channel and I’m definitely gonna do the same.

How many Cars (flex) can you get out of a gallon of clear

It really depends on what you’re doing as far as if you’re doing a overall paint job or if you’re painting panels that have been replaced or repaired. The size of the vehicle will play a part as well along with how many coats of clear you apply

If you are referring to the passenger side looking better than the drivers side then you my friend have a good eye and really know what you’re doing. I didn’t want the video to be super long so I didn’t explain that I cut n buff the passenger side quarter. I wanted to check the clear out to see if it really held up and it did it polished up nice. Hopefully this answers your question. This really is a great product and I appreciate you for checking me out 💯

For this vehicle I polished to match. Some jobs require blending into panels or possibly re-clearing in order for the vehicle to match. Hopefully in the future I’ll be doing some of those types of videos and hopefully they help. Again I appreciate you supporting the channel

Looked up the Grant 7 and checked their pricing... seems pretty overpriced compared to some of the well known superior clears for guys in the know. Southern Polyurethanes Universal clear is an amazing performer, cheaper than this Grant 7 stuff, a 1:1, high solids (used on many concours restorations, $100k+ jobs, the $600k GTO, etc)....and $250 for 2 sprayable gallons. Why bother with this stuff? If you didn't know about SPI I would understand.

Steve Davis any product is beginner friendly since all pros or whatever people like to call themselves started as a beginner. Just gotta get you some equipment and products that work best for you and practice. This clear is the best I have used and I’m sure if I use it more than this one time I’ll get better with it so get comfortable behind the gun get yourself some of this clear and practice with it
