I had the awd mach e out in the snow for the first time last week too, I was pleased with how it performed.

The Mach E outsold the ICE Mustang. That is a nice looking vehicle! Thanks for sharing!

Agree, I found MachE does really well in snow.

Green R1S owner here too. I have a similar Troy bilt snowblower..I hate it. I just pulled the pole straight off of it trying to start it yesterday.

I broke a piece off the carburetor when I removed it, but I cleaned changed the spark plug and reinstalled it and it works like new. I bought a replacement for when this one breaks. I really want to replace it with an electric one. Does yours have an electric starter? Thanks for sharing!
@EVandMe22 күн бұрын
Yeah I had to run an extension cord to my driveway to use the electric start.
@cowelk22 күн бұрын
Duke, you are absolutely having too much fun. I agree with you on the snow blower, lawn mower, leaf blower, etc being electric. I have had both gas and electric. There is a lot less work with electric and they all do a great job. I am still of the opinion that have an ICE to go cross country or to go camping for a couple of weeks is much better. I wouldn't mind an EV for around town though. I have an electric golf cart that I use around my neighborhood. I love it. I think anyone with street tires would have gotten stuck. Tires make a lot of difference. You are going to have some yard work to do in the spring.

Hey, nice video. I wonder if you give enough time for the suspension to get to the highest mode. It did happen to me i got stuck, the suspension was still working when i started driving. It looks a bit low in the image when you get out to check it out.
@thedukeofmiddleville21 күн бұрын
Its in Kneel Mode, so it lowered when I put it in Park.
@carlossilviotube21 күн бұрын
@thedukeofmiddleville oh it make sense. I wonder if kneel mode is deactivated when on off-road mode. I think it should. Imagine if there are sharps rocks underneath and it goes down. Anyhow thanks make sense now

On average, a vehicle spends around 2-8 minutes at a gas station to fill up, with the actual pumping time usually only taking a couple of minutes, but additional time spent selecting the pump, paying, and getting back in the car contributing to the overall stop duration. Average stop duration: According to data from Geotab, the average vehicle spends around 8 minutes at a gas station, with time spent at a station adds another 12 minutes. But that data is for fleet vehicles, not passenger or pick up trucks. So as with anything, the time spent not on your route, no matter what or where you may go is affected by your personal habits. But the actual time spent fueling a vehicle for a gas vehicle is much less than an electric vehicle. But I'm glad you showed us your Rivian as I've seen several on the road where I live and wondered what they looked like on the inside.

According to a study done by Payless Power the average gas station stop is 20 minutes: paylesspower.com/blog/americas-favorite-gas-stations/

The R1S also does better in the snow because of the shorter wheel base. Much better for snow.

To stop having issues with weed eater and lawnmowers and etc is put in fuel stabilizer in the gas can and make sure it is in the device before it sits for long periods. It prevents the oxygen from evaporating from the fuel and varnish forming. I went Ego weed eater, blower and edger several years ago. Work great. Don’t like E mowers their runtime stinks and they can’t scalp they have low limit switches that trip too easy. Went lithium on all tools years ago. Milwaukee for me. Never look back to cords. Ever. Living where you do good all terrain would help a lot. Rivian seems to be more than up to its part. Best off road performing EV made at the moment.

I have been using lithium battery tools for a few years now! They are the best!
@wardraven875521 күн бұрын
I never do this to mine and i don’t have any issues. I go out when i need to use them for the 1st time and start them and mow.

If you’re gas powered lawn equipment only lasts 2 years before you have to replace it id say it’s user error and nothing to do with the equipment.
@thedukeofmiddleville21 күн бұрын
And electric eliminates that user error and all the maintenance that goes with it.

@@thedukeofmiddleville yes, i am a contractor who uses lion battery tools. i used to charge overnight but have learned from other peoples mistakes. i now unplug overnight. my phone, i charge right by my bed so if it catches fire i can see it immediately and try to address it. my laptop is unpluged at night. most people seeing what is happening do all they can with the technology that is forced on them. you failed to really answer the question but that is the freedom I and your sister in law fought to give you. another story happening is electric school bus in huntsville catches fire, another school district has electric busses they cannot run because of problems. as an engineer we address problems the best we can with facts and the best solutions we have available and ignore our preconceived conclusions.. hope you are doing well from the deep south

@@JeffCrow-y7k A gas car is 20 to 60 times more likely to catch fire than an EV according to all research and studies. I have covered this a number of times in my videos. However, I bet you still park your ICE vehicle in your garage just like I do. Everything has risk, but its a matter of the degree of risk which is low for both vehicles. Please show me any credible research that supports your claim that EVs are a greater fire risk than ICE vehicles because I can't find any. Also, thank you for fighting for my freedom, but, I also served for over 20 years in the military. And here is the data if you really care about facts: www.autoinsuranceez.com/gas-vs-electric-car-fires/

no garage, my primary work truck has a little over 800000 miles, 2nd engine about 3500 bucks, wnd trans about 2500 gets 19mpg while grossing about 6500pounds hauling tools. I do not fault you with ev if it is your choice. i fault govt telling us what we can and can't do. Here is a funny vid I just found, please accept in good humor / ribbing kzbin.infoL4AATza8wxc
